Re: OLED burn in/image retention due to HUD. Busy HUD

Yeah,  I had a Panasonic plasma before this Oled, I didn't believe it would look so much better, but it does. Not to knock the plasma, I had it 7/8 years and it still looks good.  Also the oled was twice the price of the plasma!  I guess it depends how much apex you play, I was playing it every day for a while and had to stop as it was getting burnt into my plasma screen. I stopped and it went away, fortunately.

I'd love to get back into playing apex but having just spent so much on my new tv, I don't want to risk it.

I don't know why they won't allow transparency, it must be such a minor thing for them to add.

  • @WahwahUK well tbh I am talking about 3-4 hours a day max and then the wife watches TV on it for a couple hours of an evening.
Apex play time is at the lowest atm due to it being the same * every game, but the TV has done years of cod and BF abuse.
I have a 60" Samsung LED in the living room rigged to my PS4 and I swear the pic is still better on the Plasma.
Might just be my eyesight lol.
