Hi there, @NeonXXP.

Try having your son create a chat room. If they are the only one in it, they shouldn't be able to hear other players as they can only hear anyone that's in the same chat room.

    Does that disable text chat? He can already mute individuals manually at the start of every single match, but that is rigmarole and doesn't really solve the greater problem. Surely just an option to default out of all coms isn't that big of an ask.

    Unfortunately, there isn't a way to completely disable text chat currently. I'm very sorry ☹️
