I don't know why you see that as a problem. It just means you need to fear vantage and not let her see you. Be sneaky. I slay Vantages all the time, even with these changes.
I'm pretty sure it alerts you when you are tagged like that. Whenever I ping someone as Vantage, they always start running immediately afterward.

    @Zulkiers It only tells you that you've been tagged when hit with the ultimate. It doesn't tell you when Vantage had pinged you, (which is the ability that shows her the 9 second live update marker of your location).

    The ultimate itself has its own icon indicator, (which is an orange-ish circle that shows up around the player), but if the player runs behind a wall, its no longer visible unless the line of sight is regained and the tag is still active.

    The issue with her ability is that it makes her too strong. Other legends with strong kits got nerfs to help balance things out. I feel like Vantage is one of those who could do without the live ping update and pinging anyone on the screen without having to look at them at the very least.

    That ping is the only recon bit she has. Without it' she's not recon.
    Tactical is Skirmisher and Ultimate is Assault.
    The ping is her passive and is the only thing that makes her a recon.
    As for the tag, there's two notifiers.
    A) The glow and circle, and the overhead "Tagged by Vantage" to notify your location is revealed. That is her passive.
    B) At the bottom shows the increased damage taken debuff applied by her sniper, which also applies her passive Tag at the same time.
    I believe that is how it works now.
    I've been tagged without debuff or damage taken before. That means the passive now applies it on ping.
    BTW: You are unable to tag ping through windows. Tried that in mixtape.
    You must stop aiming and then ping enemy, otherwise it will utterly deny your ability to ping through the window.
    You can read their shield and number alive, but if through window you cannot ping at all while they are tracked like that, and must cease aiming to ping through the window.

    this is the first time I've seen someone complain about a super situational, historically bad legend that has never once seen compeditive play

    @KrakaDrak I have been seeing more Vantages, but within the last week or so, I haven't had much of an issue with fighting against them.
