@HansBurgers Glad you and your friends are having a good time. I play with randoms, it's always been hard to get decent matches for me.
I know I'm no where near good enough to get to platinum, let alone gold, but with this 1rp for kills? It's going to be even harder for me to get anywhere let alone improve with all the smurfs sticking around the bronze rankings.
It might even out for you because you not only have a qualified team, but you are capable of getting away from all the smurfs?

    @XxColdFangxX We also have 1 random on our team all the time because we’re a duo. If you’re not good enough to get to a rank, then you don’t belong in that rank. It’s really that simple. In the past getting to a rank wasn’t based on skill at all, just about time spent playing so players that weren’t good could actually make it to ranks they didn’t belong in only to get stuck and then griefing other people. You know how frustrating it is to be D1 and to have an entire D4 hard stuck team land on you and try to punch you out because you have a Master trail? It happened to me many times in the past seasons and often times I can 1vs3 them but I shouldn’t have to.

    With this system people that drop hot or contest off drop with the 50/50 get punished HARD and they should. Making it to top 10 squads isn’t difficult even as a solo.

    @HansBurgers and who do you think you are gonna play against if D1 you were playing against hardstuck D4s?? Yep you are gonna play against the same guys that are gonna be Gold 1 or plat 4. Stop dreaming if you want competitive then try to make it to ALGS.

    @HansBurgerswether I belong in the rank or not, where is the room for improvement when I'm trapped with smurfs? 
    Go play pubs? Why? So I can get stuck with a team that will hot drop and die immediately, or a team that has no concern for team play because there's nothing to lose for them? There's no improvement in that either.
    This rank system really only panders to the better players of apex.

    My concern isn't getting to higher ranks. It's getting away from the smurfs, because this system just makes it easier for them to stay in the lower ranks.

    The system might help with hotdrops, or players who want to run off on their own, but for someone like me who doesn't really play enough to reach gold, how is a lobby filled with smurfs fair gameplay?

    Even pros dont like it after only 3 days...
    We have 12 weeks for this pain??
    Nrg Sweet stopped playing 20 minutes ago because so much pain after 30 minutes of wait time during the normal day!

    @Palette24carats What do you (or Sweet and other pros) expect? Sweet and all the others played 20+ hours on end without sleeping during a normal week, did they expect everyone else to get to Master? It's probably going to take a week before the lobbies fill out properly and even then it's going to be different for them. They used to ditch scrims to go "pubstomp" in ranked lobbies and now they actually have to play ranked lobbies as if it were a scrim, just like they requested.

    All I'm seeing is a lot of kicking and screaming without any reasoning as to why the changes are bad. Just a lot of overinflated egos that are struggling with the fact that ranks actually mean something now.

    @HansBurgersNope wrong, they already play against Platinum players... it's gonna be those same players that are gonna be master with which they are gonna play.
    You have to understand that Diamond and up are only for premade squads this season... so it won't fill up quite the opposite as soon as those full squads are stuck they will STOP playing rank all 3 of them and empty the queue because you know Demotions???
