2FA to help guard people's accounts.  I'd rather risk someone attempting to phish my password and pay $10 each season than to run into level 10 accounts in plat/diamond.  Cash blocking new accounts from jumping in ranked would likely slow down the usage(in ranked.)  My experience with most cheaters is they aren't even savy enough to do anything other than download skill and use.  Let alone actually work on breaking account security.

  • Honestly this game should be $10 to keep the smurfing and cheating as low as possible.

I never said or would I say that pay walling it would prevent all cheating.  But it would surely slow down the people that are making free accounts and just going until they get banned and rinsing and repeating.  Obviously there's no perfect system.  The idea is to take chunks of cheaters out.  Surely tho it make sense to also use a revenue generator to help slow it down.

@Sinnaji Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of really low leveled players lately. Usually they range from level 25-200, but now they're just a bunch of level 1-20. With a lot of them having fishy aim. Some might argue they're smurph accounts, the problem is with the way they preform, they should have more kills then what their stat cards show. Which just means cheaters have a constant pipeline of new accounts.

You can just take a peek at Hideouts twitter and see how many of the bans he's issuing are on fresh accounts.  It seems to be quite a bit.
