@1unown1 Matchmaking is SO broken, its just allowing low leveled players in higher ranked matches. Pathfinder here has to be on the same team as both Seer and Bangalore or at least one of them, as I don't think normally they would end up in a match like this, (by that, I mean they would most likely get two silvers or bronzes, rather than be in gold lobbies as often).

Both Seer and Bangalore were Rookie IV last season, and are silver and gold this season, while they have very little damage and kills, with the Pathfinder over there having more kills and damage. You seem to get more points the more "team participation" you have, so both Seer and Bangalore are basically farming points from letting Pathfinder mow through anyone they come across. Pathfinder was even letting them both take shots before he killed each member of my squad, so that it would "count" as team participation.

I wasn't having much luck this match, and my team wasn't able to down anyone or get a kill, in fact this team was the first squad we came across. Yet, despite making it to top 10 and putting up a good fight, neither me nor my teammates got any points. The old rank system rewarded us for our efforts, this rank system just spits in our faces and gives us the same exact matchmaking the next game, if not a worse one. How is any of this playable?

@Midnight9746 rank is kinda stupid... any MMR player can be in your lobby. Predators can publicly do bronze to master challenges and respawn doesnt do a thing for that to protect us all... but if pros ask for something they will move mountains.

@Palette24carats Yeah, exactly. I'm seeing a bunch of players who have either no "last season" ranked stamp, or it says "Rookie IV". The game really needs to stop letting people drop so low in the ranks, and needs to actually balance and work better at stopping cheaters and smurphs.

    Edited:

Vantage died when I died, so I was only able to spectate Ash. Ash was playing like a cheating bot. Their aim snapped to targets when she aimed down sights, and was beaming enemy players, as she was using anti-recoiling when firing the hemlok, and used the single fire mode, which sounded like it was an R-99.

A tell tale sign of a cheater, is that they focus more on shooting and where they're positioned, (aka keeping a line of sight on targets unless they're using the cheat where bullets curve corners slightly), and less on healing and keeping healed up. Sometimes a cheater won't even heal and would squad wipe teams with less than 5 hp left. This Ash was doing just that, but their aimbotting only was active while she was aiming down sights. When they went to shield up, a Horizon dropped down next to them to also shield up, and then Ash pulled out the Hemlok and beamed Horizon, but Ash ended up dying due to not being fully healed up, and only having level 2 evo vs Horizon's full level 3 evo. Both Ash and Vantage were in the same club, so I'm going to assume Vantage was using cheats as well.

Both players were Rookie IV last season. This seems to be a common trend. Players just drop into rookie, to what appears to be used to abuse matchmaking, not quite sure though.

Regardless of what they're doing, this guy is basically smurphing into lower lobbies while his Bloodhound teammate is a flat out smurph. Neither seemed to be cheating.
