For one i work for the largest ISP\ Telecommunications company in South Africa,there is nothing that prevents them from launching a server here besides politics,financial gains vs losses ,laws and regulations,red tape of business ,however if that was the case bf3,bf4 etc would not have private hosting rights here for us, the simple fact is that ea is using data hubs that the company use to host players at certain points around the world where they either own them ,have trusted business arrangements,have no intention to do it here ,it also has nothing to do with mind control bs side note VPN is a tunnel where only you and the company can hear\see each other so unless your hacking into someones game or EA's database there is no way you would hear such things or experience lookouts from a vpn a vpn if used correctly should only improve the latency due to the fact your getting connected to that server via a less mapped out connection,hence why people use programs like wtfast etc, unless its in violation to EULA agreements you want connect ,so unless your running a software that the Protection engine's AI doesn't like so it wont connect you period like corrupt window files! there are just laws that pertain,and other red tape in business like the consumer rights that prevents them from having a server(s) here or they do not wish to agree to the laws that are in south Africa,have no intention of launching the game here as we play on those servers already
then there is the thing that here loot boxes are see as online gambling and because there are minors playing they will not license them the rights to host here,that and the cost of setting up a database is no small cost its in the millions ,so its not worth there effort or time for simple factors like where our player base is like max 20000 at best maybe 100 000 ,while places like Australia \Europe\America have millions that alone should make it obvious as to why they are not till ea stands to correct me there,then there is the fact that Africa is seen as a high risk to security\piracy\patency violations and they probably don't want server or database breaches , I Don't care if your trolling but think of your ramifications of rambling about nonsense that supposedly implicates Bureaus ,that may completely compel them not to even think of starting one here,personally i would like to see EA open a hub here but until they officially respond we will just have to wait patiently to hear their decision till then get a better system or internet connection 150ms -200ms is still doable you wont be in the top of the world but you still will be able to play and have fun you can be grateful that its a not a region locked game
