I agree that it feels in principle like bad decision making to have such a wide range of hitbox sizes, and yet...
Once it's a known thing, and it is and has been since day one, then hitbox size becomes just another variable in the game that you have to take into account when engaging the enemy, just as you would take into account an emeny's abilities, weapons, position, etc. Yes, if feels unfair that Wraith gets away with murder (literally) when others have a hitbox the size of a billboard. Why else would she have the pick rate that she does? But in the end, she isn't unkillable, especially if you take the time to realize what you need to do to turn the odds back in your favor. With the smaller legends that mostly means letting them get closer before engaging. That isn't always easy to do, but the complexity of the game is half the fun.
