@Metr🤭din To be honest, what the game should do is detect when large amount of players disconnect, or even like half the lobby due to server errors, and make the disconnected players be unkillable to other players (but the ring can still hurt them) that way DDOSers can't farm free kills and players can't just sit in the ring and auto win because the last team died to it. The protection thing should only be given to players who are kicked from the server itself, not those who flip off their wifi, those who crashed, closed the game, etc. Which when you get disconnected, you have 10 minutes to reconnect before the game auto removes you. It should protect you for up to 10 minutes, and if you're unable to reconnect and the servers see you're trying to, it shouldn't punish you in modes like ranked.
While keeping these players safe while they are disconnected, it should further keep them safe until they find a gun. The server should also scan for any players not having connection issues and watch how they play, and if the players with no issues start trying to kill the group of people, they just get banned.
Or you know... they can just upgrade their servers to not only be higher than 20hz, but also make it resist and prevent DDOS attacks in the first place.
