You aren't required to explain yourself of course, but when you are providing feedback it is important to show what your situation is and why you find it useful.
Knowing for what you are using the shortcuts would help greatly for those that are not in your shoes, without that crucial information, well, it would become a bit hard to see why you find this problematic.
These changes don't get made on a whim, they do think a great deal about these kind of things.
But if players keep abusing certain programs, then there is no merit for them to keep it into the game.
Changes are made with the playerbase in mind, you can't keep them all happy, but the point is to keep the majority happy.
Keep in mind that there are other programs that allow you to remap and create shortcuts other than reWASD and Joy2Key.
I think it would be a shame for you to uninstall the game because you don't want to switch to a different program or turn it off.
Of course no one is forcing you to play the game and nobody is forcing you to do anything with your software, but I find it highly unlikely for EA/Respawn to bring it back.
So I'm just giving you advice so you can still enjoy the game with your shortcuts as you used to, though as you don't want to do so, is them banning this kind of software really the problem or are there some other issues with the game that have brought you to making this decision?
Personally I wouldn't really quit a game if I'd need to turn off some background apps or to switch to a different program, so is it possible that you were dissatisfied with other parts of the game, and if so, would you have any feedback on that part?
- @XangelMusic Here's the thing... pretty much 99.9% of players who use reWASD, were using it to cheat. Because they were using it to cheat, it got banned. There's no changing that.
You've already uninstalled the game, yet I would of uninstalled the program instead as other games you play might also start banning it from running too.
Its annoying for those who were using it legitimately, I can understand that. However, since it was used to cheat, it doesn't matter how it was used in other ways as cheating should never be allowed. They banned Steam configs for the same reason, as well as changing the game's config files from what I've heard. Why are you defending the corporation? And stop twisting my words around.
I'm not going to constantly turn on and off a good productivity app, that I've paid good money for, just for some bloody game.
If you really need to know, they're just keybinds on my mouse to perform certain key presses. that's it.
- @XangelMusic Listen, I don't want to see cheaters in *any* game. I'm not "defending" EA or Respawn, I'm defending the integrity and fairness of games.
Also, "twisting your words"? What gave you that impression? I didn't say you use it to cheat, I said because it was used to cheat - in general, that is, its banned by the devs. @Midnight9746Sorry, I was actually talking to XHelperZ generally. this forum has a poor reply system.
I made this post because I learned that reWASD was banned as a cheating tool. Its not to announce my departure. Where else was I supposed to send feedback?
My point still stands. I'm not going to constantly turn off and on reWASD just to play Apex Legends. I use this program often for everyday stuff on my PC.
And you can't convince me this ban should be acceptable.
Nobody is trying to convince you per see whether or not the REWASD ban is acceptable or not. The fact is, it is banned for use by EA.
REWASD is a no no program to have if you are going to play Apex.
I fully agree with this status as far more people than not abused this program.
Now that you are fully aware of the status of REWASD in regards to Apex, it is fully up to you what you do or do not do.
The thing is, i have reWASD installed, but i only use it on games i want to play with controller offline, otherwise i always have the program shut down. apex anti cheat reveal the game installed and count as a cheat even if the app is not working? just installed?
And i think i'm banned. I tried to play like 6 times and only after i realized it could be reWASD (played a lot in the past without problems, after years i returned to the game and searching on google why i cannot play i found that). Now i just tried to log in again and it says i'm banned, so even without reWASD anymore the account is still gone without possibility to contact EA? If yes, that's *, all my progress gone without even knowing why until too late
so i can't do nothing for remove the ban...

Forgive my ignorance of all things PC, but can someone explain to me how this...
"If you really need to know, they're just keybinds on my mouse to perform certain key presses. that's it."
...isn't the actual definition of why it's banned? for him probably, and he doesn't even want to shut down the program during gameplay lol.
on my case tho, i had the program off and i still got banned, didn't even know about it it was years i didn't play a game. and now it seems i need to uninstall and deleting every register key of that program and my account is still banned, that's too much, i don't even do ranked
- @XangelMusic well maybe provide a solution on how Respawn can allow reWASD to stay opened while running Apex Legends and still able to prevent players from using reWASD in-game. I don't think Respawn will bother making a workaround for that, so, unless you have a solution, goodbye
for me, just allow rewasd to be off but still installed, that's enough. for him, maybe removing autoaim from pc even if you use controller, that's the first thing to do
I swtg, this is why I hate posting on these forums because you have people trolling or invalidate on my feedback, twist your words or defending the company.
The keybinds I use are not for the game, they're for everyday use. I'm sure I mentioned this before. They're copy/paste keybinds that I use for Firefox or Word, nothing to do with Apex, and I would use them outside while playing a game.
Keep living your fantasy than banning genuine players instead of actual cheaters is the better solution.

Do you really type word docs while playing Apex? Seems like it would take away from the game experience and reduce attention to the game.
But hey to each their own.
Either way since REWASD has become a no no for Apex there is definitely less abuse of it in game and that is a big W IMHO.
It a small trade off, especially since REWASD was developed with FPS Games and key binding for such games as a primary use (for which it was/is abused) and not so much for internet browsing and Word copy paste key binding shortcuts.
We do not have to like the rules we do have to play by them.
I really don't get your mentality here. So you've deleted the game because you can't use the application on Apex.... people have explained the reasoning it's not allowed and you're just bypassing their point. No company would allow an app to be used on their game if its used for cheating unless they just dont care about the majority of their playerbase. Fair enough 1% may be using it legitimately but the rest are abusing it and no way would I allow that to happen if I was in control of the company also.
forget the guy who refuse to not use it during games, i turned rewasd off totally (i not use it unless i need it for some games offline), but apex detect you have it installed and still kick you out of games, i got kicked out like 6 times before even knowing it was rewasd the culprit, and i think i got banned now. so the game basically force me to uninstall it from the pc, and that's a problem for me, why not only detect when it's on, i heard even if uninstalled you need to remove every registry key of it to be sure, that's too much
