@N8PayneIt does allow outgoing grenades. When you are placing down a pylon,there are 2 rings.If you are within the inner most rin allow grenades to be thrown outwards.If you are in the outermost ring,ordance will be destroyed immediately.They made the pylon a bit more aggressive a few patches ago,hope this helps.
