It's unfortunate you weren't able to max it out before the Season concluded, but this was specifically mentioned in the FAQ and in game there was a timer under the Battle Pass tab on when it was ending. These Battle Passes run for a "season" and reward players that are able to level it up during that specific time period.

Can I keep leveling my Season 2 Battle Pass after the season ends?

No, the rewards available in the Season 2 Battle Pass can only be earned until the season is over. After it ends, you won’t be able to earn additional Battle Charge content.

    Right. While I understand (and basically approve) that concept, this is the reason for me as a casual player NOT to buy a season pass anymore. Because, looking back at S1, I won't be able to finish even half of it. So, from my point of view, seasons are more about looking at what I WON'T get/achieve. 

    A pity, because I love your game and the season idea as such. 

    ((I know that you adjusted the levels, so we are faster marching through them; but I fear I will still get only half of them done)).
