Reconnect feature

It's awful. Not only can you still die while disconnected but it also takes like 10 minutes to reconnect. It's horrid. And its annoying that it auto throws you into a match if you disconnect. I hate this feature. Especially since the game now disconnects so often it just makes getting into a different match even longer. 

The reconnect feature makes ranked literally unplayable. I foolishly tried it, and sure enough I get an error. This is not the worst part though. The worst is everything that follows.

Stuck on home splash screen after error. No controls responds. Forced to Alt F4.
Restart game. OH LOOK, IT'S TRYING TO RECONNECT TO THE GAME.
Game times out before it manages to load into the map.
Back to home splash screen. This time buttons work. Clicking to the main menu starts reconnect me a second time.
I reconnect to an enemy performing a finisher on me.

I did not get into the character select screen. (IF YOU DIDN'T CONNECT TO THIS PART, IT SHOULDN'T PUT YOU IN THE GAME AT ALL.)
I did not get to pick my character at all.
It did not even pick the character I had selected before the game, which it normally defaults to. (Had Wattson. Got Pathfinder. No Wattson on team.)
I did not GET TO PLAY THE GAME AT ALL, yet instead of aborting the match at the first step, it just picks a random character no matter what, has me AFK for FOUR MINUTES before I could rejoin, just for the pleasure to loading in to a finisher animation on me. Lost the game, and if I hadn't managed to reconnect just before losing, I'd have gotten an abandoment for something I was not part of for even a millisecond until it was already over, meaning anyone that plays ranked a lot currently can and very likely will get banned from ranked, or at the very least lose all their disconnect forgiveness strikes.

This should be a priority fix.
