Jajaja requires skill. God sake. You are a no sense player, pepega. Mastiff requires nothing. Just luck. Exactly as the Wingman. Patch incoming to remove mastiff into carepackage AND put wingman into it to remove all toxic player TTV.
Requires nothing, just get close, and click, no tracking, no flicking required....

@CrashA320 You're right. Shotguns are a low skill weapon that are typically the strongest in the game at close range. This is typically balanced out by them being weak to useless at a distance. I fail to see the problem here.
Do you want all guns to be equally competitive at most ranges?
Do you want shotguns to be treated as a secondary weapon? Meaning weaker than every other weapon category but useful as a finisher weapon.
Do you want weapons that require more skill to dominate at all ranges no matter how illogical that may be?
I disagree with each of these positions but I can respect them. However calling the Mastiff OP when stronger guns exist in this game just seems silly.
Problem is that it requires no skill. This game is a competitive game, and those usually require skill, not just luck when you are able to sneak close to your opponent who is fighting 3132324876152348756 other people and push a button. That could hardly be called skill. That is rather called frustrating....
If you a fail to see the problem here, then you might want to play the game for a few rounds. I know, talking from the side is easier, come, join me for a matches, you are more than welcome
And to be honest, I see this on this fancy new map happening most of the time. Why? Because shotguns are everywhere and everyone is using them, because it is easy. The map favors mass drops and close range combat. Plus spawn rate for even mid range optics is way too low, not to mention the midrange weapons. That takes away the balanced by low damage at ranges element. Which guns are stronger? Because I don't see any other guns listed as killing weapons this often. Most of the time half of the kills happen with a shotgun. I think that is not balanced.
To be clear. SHOTGUNS SHOULD NOT SPAWN EVERYWHERE ON THE MAP, AND SHOULD BE A SLOWER RELOAD SPEED. LET THIS GAME ABOUT SKILL, NOT TPING ANOTHER SQUAD AND KILLING EVERYONE WITH SHOTGUNS FROM 2 METERS. Hope it's clear enough...
I play this game from season 1, have more than 2k hours in it, because it's fun. But ever since season 7 arrived it is slowly slipping into rage and frustration because of this one thing. I know, Respawn does not give a flying f about me, because I'm just a nobody, so... Too bad...
@CrashA320 Competitive games typically require skill and intelligence. Because I have that view point I'm willing to accept guns that require little skill but carry massive weaknesses. Game planning around how to maximize a tool's strength while avoiding its limits is the intellectual challenge that makes using characters/weapons like Rampart, Shiela, the Havoc/(original Devotion), Longbow or the Mastiff fun.
Dumbing things down to a pure spray and pray meta kills the intellectual challenge even if it does highlight skill more.
Volt, R-99, (current) devotion are all easily better than the Mastiff. Just as deadly close range while remaining strong up to mid-range in comparison to the Mastiff. None of these weapons require much skill at close range either.
If players are sneaking up on you in any situations then you're either foolish or you play on PC. Sound is broken there so I feel bad for you but only fools get ambushed at close range on consoles.
Lastly luck will always play a factor in a game with randomized loot. Hot drop into an area and only find the Sentinel? Sucks for you but you're likely going to die.
- @Zamaha400 Shotgun of every type should basically be balance enough to be used. Just look at Mozambique alone, people rather go melee attack than picking this shotgun cause the damage output is so bad it simply isn't worth to grab.
I am very bad in using mastiff at 60-90 ms, but at 15-25 ms I can literally sure kill my opponent in 5-15 meter distance.Still nothing for the MASTIFF ????? 126 in 2 hits. NERF IT NOW !
