REMOVE MASTIFF ! OMG !
I swear ! I got killed by a guy level 60 ! plz it's a beginner ! MASTIFF requires no shot ! How to ruin a game with 12 bombs cuz of this noob gun ! get brain when you are doing some updates !
Wow this thread is a madness. Lemme read through this and try and give me 2 cents.
@CrashA320 You were right when you said the spawn rate of shotguns is too high because it's ridiculous in some matches. I think the problem with the reload speed is that I think the PK was the slowest gun to reload and it got thrown into the CP so there was nothing that replaced it. The Mastiff doesn't exactly have a slow reload speed as you can shoot in the middle of reloading so it's a dodgy one. People are always going to third party in this game. It's a bit of a cheap tactic but it's effective so unfortunately, it's here to stay. If the games getting you mad then just take a break from it and playing something else for a while. It'll save you from burning out. Also being lvl 500 doesn't mean anything and isn't a true indication of skill so I wouldn't use that to reinforce your points.
@Zamaha400 Volt and R-99 are a lot better because they're reliable. You can melt people from a range of distances and that coupled with the fire rate and damage it's just infinitely better. The sound issue isn't limited to just being on PC. I play on XB1 with my game sound nearly on full blast with a headset so I can assure you if I play any other game I'm going to hear an enemy trying to stealth me. On Apex however not so much. Like you said the RNG is always a dodgy one. You're gonna drop into an area, pick up a weapon (if you're lucky), and run into someone with a meta weapon and purple shield.
To @CrashA320 & @Zamaha400 guns do require attachments but it doesn't mean they're unusable without them. It helps a number of things whether it's how many bullets you've got in your clip to melt someone or how easy the recoil is to control. So that's just a pointless argument that's just gonna have you guys running around in circles.
@Ff3NiXx I haven't seen anything to suggest that the Mastiff is going to receive a nerf so I wouldn't get your hopes up. It is a no/ low skill weapon but that's shotguns on practically any other game? Look at COD. Look at Fortnite. The problem with the weapon is the inconsistent damage. I've hit someone close range and got 13 damage while aiming down sights (with the enemy directly in the middle) other times I've hit someone with 100+ damage with one bullet. There should be an element of risk vs reward with any gun. The risk for a shotgun should be a severely limited range even if it isn't realistic. I've hit someone for 40-50 damage from a distance which when peeking is a little cheap. You just seem to be mad because you're dying to it. So I say the same to you if Apex is getting too stressful then have a break. If not then just play smarter not harder. Keep your distance and melt them. I've destroyed shotgun peekers with a Hemlock/ G7 Scout a number of times.
@GH0STEDbyME Huh. I play on Ps4 and never have any sound issues but I guess other console players do. I'll try to be less angry about my team being surprised by loud stomping enemies from now on.
@Ff3NiXx I assume the camping comment is aimed towards me since @GH0STEDbyME never said anything about his play style.
Camping is boring, rushing is boring. The only thrill I have involves hunting down a target and choosing the best way to attack. None of this is relevant though.
Shotguns are normally low skill as GhostRev said earlier so I don't deby this. I just believe the limitation to range and inconsistency in damage balances it.
If you truly want to fet rid of "noob" guns (hate that word) then target the spitfire, R301, or triple take.
Going after the Mastiff just seems like you want to nerf the things you don't use and dont like dying to.
