That's a stupid point. You've been dropped hundreds of times with all kinds of weapons. It doesn't mean that they are overpowered. Which weapon do you see played the most now? Whichever the answer - should they remove that too in hopes that people will play the LSTAR more? How about if they remove all weapons and we only have LSTARS left.
You've presented no adequate arguments so far. "I get killed a lot with it" is not an argument for how strong the weapon is. I don't know what leagues you play on and I will not presume, because I am not here to offend anyway, but I know what weapons are most played by the people and the Devotion was never one of them. That speaks for itself. If it had been overpowered, everyone would be using it. And this was not the case. Not to mention that from a purely stat point of view - it was nothing that special.
- 6 years ago@Nino_Z I can say the same for you though. Where are you getting your stats from about what guns are played more than others? I don't even think the developers of the game have specific stats like that. Maybe like a pickup count, but what would be best would be a kill count per weapon stats. The devotion is extremely powerful, the developers themselves even stated that in the patch notes. So I am sorry you are the minority.
But what I was trying to get across about being downed by the devotion is that no matter what gun/armor I had, I always lost to a devotion, even at >100m. I once was using a longbow to shoot someone with a devotion and got roasted at about 100m. - 6 years ago
@SolitaryMassacreMy stats are based on 250 victories. Where my average damage was 1300 and my average kill count was 6
I know how many people I see having that gun. I check almost every deathbox for ammo, etc and I almost never saw the gun. I have a team mate who has 660 wins on his Pathfinder. He is in agreement with me.
Also - as a Devotion user, I can guarantee, that it's not possible to take down someone with a devotion against a longbow (at 100 meters distance) unless crazy lucky or something. - 6 years ago@Nino_Z Alright guys, calm down. The devotion was a good close to mid-range weapon, especially with the turbocharger, as the firing speed when charged seemed to be near r-99 level, but did more damage per shot. This is why it’s a supply drop weapon now. The L-Star was as good as the other supply drop weapons, so they switched places. Now, the L-Star isn’t that bad. It has good dps when aiming, although the hip-fire seems inaccurate. The other thing that makes it good, is the fact that it doesn’t need to reload.

Sorry, I meant to say that the L-Star wasn’t as good as the other supply drop weapons.
- 6 years ago@Sir_Named The Devotion is simply not nearly as good as a Mastiff or a Kraber. It doesn't fit. Yes, we all agree that the LSTAR was crap and nobody wanted it. So they decided to remove a good weapon and replace it with a (now) okay one just so they can keep the LSTAR.

- I was lucky enough to get a full gold devotion from a care package this evening along with loads of ammo and boy did I have some fun.😃

Devotion should stay a Care Package Weapon. I love the new changes and I agree with the developers on this. Devotion was the strongest weapon in the game once fully kitted.
The current Devotion does 918 damage [17 times 54 = 918 damage].
Turbo Charger being removed from the game makes the Havoc a better weapon. The Havoc was buffed with less horizontal recoil since the Turbo Charger was removed. This means the Havoc's recoil is much easier to control that previous Seasons.
- 6 years ago@Leo_the_Lion25 Yet another person who did not play the devotion in the past, but thinks it's the strongest weapon.
If it was the strongest weapon - why was not everyone playing with it? Why didn't most of the good players use it? Why handicap yourselves by playing any other weapon?
Because this is all nonsense. It was not. - 6 years ago@Nino_Z You assumed I never ran a devo? It was the strongest weapon in the game. I was that type of player that would shoot a whole clip into a knockdown shield.
Devo destroys Purple and Gold knockdown shields and will then kill the person in one single clip. That over 850 damage with reloading.
The current devo like I said does 918 damage in one single clip.
Strongest weapon in the game.
Spitfire is not the strongest despite it doing 990 damage without reloading. This is because a fully kitted devo shoots faster than a fully kitted spitfire.
I know my weapons and meta. - 6 years ago@Nino_Z It was indeed very strong, although you would need all of the attachments to really get that op level of damage. I think the reason you didn’t see many pros using this was because they used weapons that did more damage per shot, like the wingman and pk. Also because it was a pain to gather all of its attachments.
- 6 years ago@Sir_Named I dropped at fire station with something like six other squads during season 3 (just before S4) and immediately found a Devotion (nothing but a stock) and just sat on the platform that I'd dropped on and walked away with 7 kills (I didn't win that game, tho), my squad and I wiped every other squad there (w/ help from the other squads that didn't know what was happening)! It was easy to laser people with the Devo. I think the only reason pros didn't use it was because energy ammo is soooo difficult to find, and you rarely have enough.
