Review from a Non-BR fan
Never been a fan of BR games. Absolutely hated Fortnite as I play on PS4 and didn't enjoy the controller layout at all.
This game changed my mind about BR. You guys did a great job. On to likes/dislikes.
Likes:
-matchmaking. Even though it sucks when my teammates aren't very good or downright terrible, I like being matched into a squad. Unlike fortnite, this game was built around the squad and I really enjoy the team aspect and strategy of it.
- 3v3 format. Allows you to be strategic with squad picks and is by far, the best setup for the style of combat you've created.
-Quick to access. There's no BS loading screens or downtime. I can start the game and be flying into the zone in less that 3-5 mins. That's awesome.
-easy to use. Extremely easy to learn and you did a great job with button mapping and overall simplicity of the mechanics. Not too much going on and it's easy to use.
-combat feels great. Good gunplay and the abilities for each character are unique and strategic. Feels excellent.
-great map terrain and feel. Combat is fluid and fast paced and also has down time in between engagements.
Dislikes:
-Weapon spawns. There are some locations where there will be a 3 story building without a single weapon. All attachments. That sucks when you fly in against multiple squads and ultimately die because there's nothing in it. But again, I'm not a BR fan, so maybe that's intentional.
-Record bug on PS4. Game auto records which has 2 effects. First, it memory leaks and leads to freezes and crashes. Second, it doesn't allow you to record the latest gameplay by hitting the record button.
-crashes on exiting a match and when holding Square to loot. Happens randomly. But hey, games In Alpha, so it's expected.
Overall: Fantastic job. You've converted this once naysayer, to a BR junkie. Love the game and the feel. Congrats on a successful launch
