@Nihedeberu The ring is there to force people into safe zones and the high damage to disable people from outhealing the zone.

I'm not a fan of the implementation of it. I don't think anyone wants to play "outrun the ring", but that is what happens. The ring becomes a greater enemy than players and you end up having less fights, not more. The whole thing becoming counter productive to intended gameplay.

It certainly encourages you to drop toward the center and avoid the edges.
On Storm Point, if I drop toward the edge, I plan a contingency of being near a trident should the first ring be far away.
I miss Storm Point.
