I didnt play Apex in 3 months I get in tonight try the new rank mode, I am a beginner on mnk on pc 114 level account I start as bronze and the first 3 games I play is with new accounts bronze players against bronze players that have 4k badges, master badges while I could barely reach Gold on that account. Wow what are we supposed to do? I cant play like that as a meat wave.
@Palette24carats Yeah, matchmaking has been a bit of a challenge. Although, Respawn had said they're going to change it in S22 to make it better. I'm not sure how much better it would get and the devs will have to sort out the cheating and smurfing problem as well. There's also the fact that some players either don't play rank, or they derank themselves to play in lower lobbies, so that would need to be looked into as well. Eitherway, I hope S22's change to the matchmaking works out.
Also, just so you know, (its easy to miss it), Wraith's username is still visible above their head, which can be seen where the Alter portal is. Meanwhile the usernames at the top left of the Horizon's banner card should be okay, (although I personally prefer to hide the player's tags as well). There is also player's usernames on the Apex banners in the background, (and while its hard to see in the screenshot, I hide those too).
To help make it easier for you, here's your screenshot with the usernames removed from all instances they appear in, (either readable or not), as well as an update to the yellow edits:
@Midnight9746 Thanks. Is it shaming anyway if the player is not related to the post and his banner is not shown ? I dont think so any twitch stream feature player names this is getting non sensical.
Yeah but they said they would solve this problem in thenpast and we were supposed to get closer to 1 kd with changes in matchmaking.... that never happened to me I think my kd even got below 0.3 for the first time ever. So I expect the same, empty promises, playing with bad players against masters and 4k badge owners while not even having a 2k badge and my kd below 0.4.
@OnclePicsmurfI don't think sbmm can be bad... unless you have a kd way over 1 you would be a minority and would have your kd go down. But still you would be doing better than others.
I just looked at my historic Kdr and it seems to explain how I have less fun over time. When I started playing Apex I was really bad at aiming and didnt understand my environment much, I worked very hard to improve and I did improve a LOT!!!
Yet my kdr says 0.76 in season 3... where I was a really bad player! Then it went stable at around 0.5 from season 4 to season 19. Which is ok because I am not a fragger
but a support who gets way more assists and revive my teammates and respawn them often.
Then it dropped towards 0.35 from season 20 to season 22. Even dropping at 0.28 at some point last season.
So they promised we would get closer to 1 Kd a few season ago but hey surprise it did the exact opposite for me, I went close to 0. Which surely explains why I don't have fun anymore, who would have fun with a 0.35 Kd after improving himself a lot and putting thousands of hours in the game. My teammates are 95% just really bad or so cocky they die alone somewhere. How is balanced ? Tell me. I can't play this season again.
So if one is just complaining/providing feedback about the matchmaking and showing an example of getting matched with top master/pred type players and you are only bronze this is not naming and shaming unless you are also accusing the other players of MM manipulation.
One does not need to block out all names/ID on a post however if you are not sure it is best to do so.
Naming and shaming is when someone accuses another player/s of some sort of cheating/bad behavior like toxicity and or showing a pic/clip of other players and saying that they suck etc. where their ID/Gamer tag is also visible.
I got stuck in a lobby where the Champs of the previous match that I was matched up against had 17K kills on one legend alone (Conduit) and their teammates had respectively 15 and 10K kills as well. I do not have anywhere near that on my whole account. I forgot to take a screen shot and would have posted it with a why am I getting placed in lobbies with these players that are way way way out and above my skill level. I would have left the gamer tags visible as I was not shaming them I was complaining about the MM.
Again if you are unsure just block out all names and ID's.

Not necessarily.
Would you say that the participants in the ALGS are similarly skilled? I would. So what would be interesting would be to take all of the players stats from the last major ALGS tournament or such and computing their KD's during that tournament.
Hmm I just looked at Team Never to Change stats from the split one playoffs .9 kills per game avg and 24 games played with no wins. I went ahead and called the team kills per game avg 1.0 for simplicity and divided by 3 to get .33 kills per game per player. Which of course after 24 games and Deaths lead to a .33 K/D ratio which of course could be lower if they were respawned in any games (this data I cannot find).
Also TSM from the split one playoffs. 3.1 kills per game 30 games played and 1 game won. lets call it 1.33 kills per player per game, and 29 deaths the game they won lets just say they were all alive at the end. that's a 1.375 KD without factoring in any possible respawns.
Lastly I will add Dark Zero 6.1 kills per game avg 24 games played and 6 games won. Lets call it 2.33 kills per player per game and will say that the same one player was alive at the end of each game won. That would be a 3.10 KD without factoring in any respawns.
So even here the variance of KD's and outcomes with "similarly skilled" players is eye opening, .33 another is 1.375 and the last is 3.10.
