SBMM - RIP Apex
I’m an average player who won now and then, for every bad game, I’d get a good one. Now every game is just really hard and not fun any more. I play ranked if I want a consistently challenging experie...
I would guess that they are continuously tweaking the SBMM to find a good balance. That seems to be their general method; i.e. to implement something new directly to the live servers with minimum prior testing and then just "see how it goes and adjust accordingly". Other example of this: Distributor rounds and the Charge rifle that both were incredibly broken when first released. But to my experience, it seems like the SBMM is based "fresh stats" i.e. it seems to go after your recent games and not your lifetime kills etc.
And Respawn and transparency?? Haha they dont know what PR is to be honest. Compare this to how Riot games and Bluehole work. Every patch they go through in detail exactly what and why they have done. Respawn just do stuff and hope it will work =)
Yeah, I dont honestly have a clue how this SBMM works right now. When they first introduced the SBMM, all my matches were totally stacked but so were my teammates. They almost always had3000 + kills, and 3k dmg badges just like me etc. But recently, my team mates are ALWAYS considerably worse than me and the usually have around 2-300 kills and never high dmg badges (not that stats and badges always means that you are good but its a clear difference this past days compared to before).
Actually I have never seen any players with 1k+ kills!
I saw players with 100 kills or 300 kills but nothing as high as 1000 kills...
So obviously SBMM keeps me away from those extreme players.
MAybe it is to may low ranked level?
Ranked is much much more difficult to me than random.
that why I only played to silver 4 and never touched i t again.
Maybe the ranked level (if you have diamond for example) has any influence of your basic level in random SBMM?
AGIAN WE NEED THAT INFORMATION FROM EA / RESPAWN, ELSE ALL DISCUSSION IS JUST GUESSING.
