I have made posts in the past of a more logical method to use. You bracket player levels and decide upon that.
Level 1-99 play together then sbmm splits them where they should be.
level 100-199 same thing
level 200-299 same thing
level 300-399 same thing
level 400-500 same thing.
The level gap like ranked can not exceed a certain amount. Meaning the system in place at this time would be applied to this. But imo not until level 100. I say this because this may push brand new players into lobbies they will find not so entertaining. So starting at level 100 depending on stats and way system does sbmm this would either pair him in his level 100-199 level range or if stats are good it could push them to the 200-299 lobby. This to me is better way to do things for the mid tier level players to max level. Mid tier skill level to max level skill level.
Now this also could apply to high levels with same logic in reverse. Level 400-500 player could be placed depending on stats 1 bracket lower meaning level 300-399 lobbies. This to me would help smooth a lot things out and make a bit players little more eased into SBMM.
- 5 years ago@E9ine_AC Level is 90% a measure of playtime. Playtime does not always mean skill, and sbmm shouldn't take playtime into account after your first 10 or so games.
