It's quite funny how every single season they say they have improved anti-cheat, smurfing issues etc. it's gettin worse... lvl 20 smurfs pretty much every ranked lobby plat at least. So many shady hackers don't recall what season had as many hackers as there is now and some of em' are so obvious they don't even try to hide it at all as well how we all know how they ban hackers handpickin after thousands of reports and then the hacker just make a new account, but if u dare to say s*it in game you are banned instantly hiswattson great example. Cheating has ruined online gaming, and if I wasn't the typical PC Gaming Geek, I would of left Apex long ago, but I do occassionally have some good games. Won one the other day, 6 kills as KL.But yes, cheating is a major mess, and I personally think, we will need a cloud service we play games through in the future, so that you can't add any cheats into your OS the way they work now on PC.It seems like, as long as you can install a game on a PC, then you can easily install cheats on the OS and this war like this will never end.Or PC gaming is going to need to come to an evolution of Tech, that if you have a cheat app on your OS, the game won't start with it, and this will have to be pretty flawless, so the coders can't code around it.

Do note that an increase in cheaters and smurfs doesn't equal to the fact that the anticheat or any of their systems aren't functioning well.If the total amount of players like this go up, it'll obviously become a bigger issue, no matter how great their detection is.Personally I barely see any cheaters, though of course, doesn't mean that there aren't any at all.Do hope some more breakthroughs will be made though! (Also note that Cheaters are banned both IP and HWID-wise, though sadly enough these can be circumvented, hence why they're not that effective)

@d3bugIT I feel like part of why EAC isn't working as well for Apex is because Epic Games owns EAC, so why would they let a BR competitor become "better" then Fortnite?I did play Fortnite again last year, (not as much since a lot has changed), but about 1/5 games, there seemed to be a cheater, but never the same cheater each time there was one in the match. In Apex, it feels like almost every game has a cheater, and more so cheater(s) that are a full squaded up together, and you'll often see the same cheater(s) in multiple matches across days, weeks, and sometimes even months still playing.In all honesty, Apex just needs a better anti-cheat and it might as well be a kernal level anti-cheat as Valorant doesn't seem to get a whole lot of cheaters. I'm not fully sure as I've only played about 4 matches and decided it wasn't the game for me.

yeah honestly i wouldn't care about some kernel anti cheat like vanguard that valorant has. I'm willing to sacrifice my privacy if it means less cheaters. Who cares about whatever possible malicious things a kernel anticheat would give them access too i doubt they would abuse your system intentionally anyways.

@d3bugIT well if u compare example fortnite they actually have workin anticheat system and u can see people banhammered mid game... EA just dont care thats the real issue...already have this technology (hardware ban)

I've personally read that Conor Ford is in a position of authority overseeing cheating in Apex for the entire game/system/everyone...
Regardless of who owns EAC doesn't matter, it's not all that great to begin with, and do you honestly believe a company would actually use a product given to them as less inferior as you stated? That would be absurd on a business level to actually do this sort of thing.
Cheating does impact the gaming industry and it greatly affects businesses in a negative way.

So EA had over 200 tester just for Apex Legends.... crazy considering every season going back to about season 9 on launch had nothing but issues, the average player was shocked wasn't noticed during testing....hence the famous line, "Do you guys even test your game before you drop a new season?"
200 plus and season after season nothing but issues not caught prior to launch. Lol... at that point, I would have assumed none of them were doing there job properly and would have considered firing them all. But maybe this was just a money thing. EA did mention that Apex Legends was there #1 money maker and wasn't sitting where they would like it to be - and then, goodbye to mobile Apex, and goodbye to single player game and goodbye Baton Rouge.
Now with all that being said, am I the only one that thinks, "wait, what, over 200 hundred testers but only one guy banning players?"

@Midnight9746 this was rly well said... it tells so much bout apex when several players are able to hack themself in top pred without bein' banned even this is old comment but not much have changed

Aware that a couple users sitting at the top of the leaderboard are cheaters. They are already banned. They should be purged from their spots soon.
