Season 8 Wraith Nerf

@LordloshBangNothing to complain about? Do you even know how many times this legend has been nerfed? How many times we had to re-learn tricks and tactics ADAPTING every single time. So to say we cant and dont is crazy as well is we have nothing to complain about. You do know that wraith has been nerfed more times then every single legend combined correct? 1 Legend holds the record of nerfs compared to all combined. This says a lot about we adapt just fine. We are sick of nerfs. We are sick of alterations because bad players cant hit their way out of paper sack and blame hit box. This goes to anyone who cant kill a wraith. A lot of us actually majority have zero issues killing her yet people cry cry cry because they obviously hit their peak level of game play and want it easier.

We picked wraith because we found her fun. Not because omg we will every single match if we are wraith. Not that omg im hardest killed legend in the game im play wraith. Yet do you see pros or anyone big into streaming complain about wraith?? Nope because we can kill her easily its the people who cant aim that complain about her.

All this nerfing and she is top of the mountain, yeah that speaks for itself, she was beyond broken, and people that played her was on top of the mountain and abused her for long period of time. Now if you are in the very bottom for the same amount of time, wouldn`t that be fair?
And you are talking about adjusting, like you are moving from FPS to MOBA games .... Oh dear Wraith, they got to adjust when to push a single button, oh that so hard and require such an incredible amount of skills .... just come on.

Bad players, good players, doesn`t matter. If you know anything about aiming mechanics, you will know that smaller target - harder to hit. Especially with his Naruto like run(before). And while she is tiny as hell, and can do fast strafes, other legends can`t do it, because their hitbox is that big, that they will do nothing, which means - even easier target.

Ottr(an actual pro player) recently have stated, that while playing Wraith compare to his Pathfinder, he gets away with so so many things, and its way harder to get hit.

And yeah the main reason outside of her kit for her PRO usage is her small hitbox. So you can say million time, that she ain`t used because of that, its still not going to be true. :D

And if you have read my previous post i just have stated, that she was totally OP before, now she is strong but fair. And i was pretty much against making her hitbox bigger, cause that will just lower the skilling ceil.

Instead they should have lower all hitbox by a bit, or maybe increase the movement speed just a bit.

@LordloshBang I think you misunderstand me..

I haven't got a problem with them nerfing either Wraith or Path to balance the legends out but it's the way in which they have done so. Path for example obviously needed a nerf in first few seasons, i'm not denying that at all, and i was actually one of the few that didn't complain about his CD nerf when it was introduced as he was unquestionably OP. What i do have a problem with though is the 0.5 second attach time they added to his grapple as it made him very sluggish and after the CD nerf but also altered hitbox it was unnecessary, especially with low profile too.

Same with Wraith but the stacks of alterations they made to her overtime as she is now a completely different legend. Things like hitbox changing, low profile, naruto run, insta q ect.. No argument all these needed some attention (anyone could look at these problems in S1/2 and see what could fix it) but they could have implemented these in one or 2 patches, not totally slamming her or path over the entire course of the game. She has a totally different role from what she had before and people that invested time and cash into a hyper aggro front line legend has now been reserved to relocation specialist so it's understandable people are frustrated and excluding her hitbox, which now looks like it's potentially changing, is the main reason she's still picked in competitive play.

Just look at Lifeline, she is so bogged down now in broken updates that her tactical doesn't even activate sometimes because of crap servers, connection or ''netcode'' in this bloated game. I had this conversation recently with someone in general chat that before hand you apparently just needed confirmation sent to the server that you activated the tactical ability but after Revenant being introduced the servers need to acknowledge you haven't been silenced before actually activating which can cause a delay sending info back and forth from client to servers and it not even activating if you hit the button fast enough for the game to recognise it. If i hit an ability then it should work.. Which is why delayed abilities will eventually become a necessity for all as anything instant will be broken. I want something to work when i intend it and not on some delayed rubber band feedback that is inconsistent.  

Don't mistake me for relying on any given legend to clutch my gameplay or for a ''get out of jail free card'' as i play all of them almost exclusively in ranked from diamond to pred since ranked was introduced with well over 1.5k wins combined using all legends.  My concern is with the games responsiveness, which is utter garbage compared to release and set to get worse in future updates so anything that intentionally adds to this, either from new or delayed abilities or other additions they'll inevitably test the engine with will just compound the problem over time making it a slugfest.

I totally agree with everything you said. I have said this many times. Their testing team is terrible. They just don`t know how to balance legend and how much power creep should give to abilities and when releasing a new legend to be on crack with the rest, not over the top or straight up garbage.

I think that everyone who has Wraith as main, will ever play her. Don't care how much nerf she get and so the Wraith main players will be better and better than others just because their know the difficult more than others. :'D

they base the decision on the overall winrate.

wraith still is the most played legend with the highest overall winrate through all skillbrackets.

this stayed the same even with all the nerfs on abilitys she got in the past.

this indicates very clearly, that she is stronger than all the other legends.

@E9ine_AC Horizon is likely receiving a nerf to her tactical so her success won't be ignored. 

I personally find Wraith extremely boring. Her personality and abilities put me to sleep. Wattson has the most loveable personality to me and I love Gibraltar and Rampart's initial abilities.

All the Legends feel unique and interesting so she can't be popular for that reason. There are 3 possibilities that I can see.

#1 She's chosen because the best players use her so casual players flock to her as well. Happens in every game.

#2 She simply has an easier time winning.

#3 She was one of 3 Legends whose abilities felt smooth since apex began so she was often picked. Now players just feel comfortable with her.

I think @E9ine_AC you'd mostly agree with #3 while a lot of players support #2. Her popularity can be explained by reasons #1 and #3 but not her win rate. 

I haven't seem you suggest this but "Wraith players are just better than other Legend players" is a crap reason that nobody is willing to support. Her success has to be explained some how.
