Seer Rework Idea: Shifting His Passive to a Stationary AoE Motion Sensor
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a concept for a Seer rework that helps solve his identity crisis alongside Bloodhound. Right now, Seer feels heavily overshadowed in casual and mid-rank lobbies because his tactical requires pixel-perfect aiming and heavy team co ordination, while his passive heartbeat sensor encourages staring down sights instead of engaging with the flow of the game.
Here is my proposed rework concept for his kit:
The Core Change (Stationary AoE Sensor): Instead of a heartbeat sensor while aiming down sights, Seer can stand still to enter a stationary, grounded stance (similar to a scan sweep).
The Radius & Risk/Reward: While standing still, he gains a roughly 50 meter radius area of effect motion detection. This forces a trade off: you give up mobility to gain intelligence.
Speed Based Tracking Accuracy Scale:
If enemies are slow walking the radius indicator is much wider and less precise, rewarding players who play stealthy.
If enemies are sprinting, the indicator becomes more pin-point, but still forgiving enough to not let seer instantly hit his tactical.
Legend Identification: Add a minor feature to the scan that lets Seer identify which specific legend is making the movement noise, restoring some of his original "master scout" flavor.
This would give Seer a distinct, unique identity separate from Bloodhound without feeling overly oppressive. Curious what others think!
