Seriously fix the sound
Finished off a team, went to revive my team mate on the stairs. Literally no sound except for my reviving him. Then I get shot in the back by an octane 15 feet away from me and a gibby out of NOWHERE...
I have issues and so do the thousands of other players. Strange I can play literally any other game that's ever been invented until now and not have any issues. It's only apex, a game created In 2019 that has tons of issues that they refuse to fix. Maybe if they updated the game more than once every 2 months it would be better
Do you use Geforce Experience? If so, why not use the instant replay function and just record whenever these audio bugs happens and post it on youtube so we can watch it? I bet AMD has a similar feature so you dont have to record full matches.
Its so hard to say anything constructive or even start a discussion without video clips. Im not accusing you for it, but so many times "no reg hits" and "broken hitboxes" just turned out to be fair and square misses, and "bugged audio" a sneaking enemy, a grappling Pathfinder etc.

So understandly I get where your coming from, without video clips it's extremely hard to tell what's an audio issue, and what isn't. However, the audio is seriously messed up. Here's an example.
At the 2:15 mark, an enemy Pathfinder runs up the stairs and gets the drop on Aceu. However in order to hear said Pathfinder, I had to turn my volume up to 3x my normal listening sound. I'm using speakers and normally have the output at 10%, I had to turn the output up to 30% in order to hear the dull thump of the Pathfinder's feet, and even then they were pretty quiet. On top of that, Aceu didn't even hear the Pathfinder come up even with headphones on. There's a slight lull in combat creating a quiet setting which SHOULD allow for you to hear someone approaching, but even at 30% output it's still exceptionally quiet.
However at the 3:02 mark, you can very clearly hear the enemy a reasonable distance away from Aceu take a zipline in a mostly quiet setting. So now the question is, how is someone running up stairs not 2 meters away from you quieter than someone taking a zipline maybe 30-70 meters away?
Yeah the situation at 2:15 is really weird. I can hear what I think is the Pathfinder open the door below that leads to the stairs but then I could literally only hear 2 footsteps before the Pathfinder was all the way up the stairs behind him and started to shoot. The only plausible explanation I can think of (if its not a bug that is) is that he used the momentum from a hook to reach the top of the staircase, which is a totally silent move. Is it just me, or isnt often Pathfinders that appear soundless?
The situation 3.02 is more a matter of sound design than bug. The vertical ziplines are for some reason designed to be super loud. At the building with the Respawn beacon on the top in the southwest corner of Capital city, you can literally hear someone using it all the way in the building north if it, across the highway.
Theres been times in game when im spectating i hear things clearly like team above below etc and the team im spectating is completely clueless so I think people just need to understand all the sounds in the game as people reviving, self reviving, reloading, healing, climbing, etc and I think the FootStep issue is because each legend has different footstep sounds pathfinder and octanes got that squeeky sound while wraiths is more sneaky and gibralters is like a stampede of elephants XD
