Shadows CANT win: Dropship changes needed
I get that the idea is the legends are supposed to escape. I also get that some of the abilities give you advantage over the shadows. But please make it harder for the legends to get in the dropship!...

@SnickersMC13I see the shadows win a lot. They definitely don't need to be able to get on the dropship and do damage. Are you trying to make it impossible for the Legends to win? Because that's what it sounds like. It's pretty dang difficult to win as it is. The shadows swarm/camp the drop ship.
I think changes need to be made for balance, but I definitely see Shadows winning 95% of the time. I already am starting to dislike this game type because it seems nearly impossible as a Legend to get on the stupid drop ship.
- @BovinePiracy I see Legends getting on the evac ship all the time, it's just that I never seem to be one of them.
- @Professor_Doggy I made it all the way to the drop ship and told me ship arrived and everything still wouldnt let me on standing right under it
Me too! I was in the circle on the ground and it didn't pick me up! I have only escaped twice now, in total. Once as Pathfinder, once as Mirage.
Last night I completed the challenges except for "Escape 25 times", so I think I'm done with Shadowfall. It was a fun event, and I absolutely LOVED seeing King's Canyon at night, lit by the moon, the searchlights, the whole vibe, was awesome. But I actually feel weird (bad? sad?) killing Legends when I'm a Shadow, seems wrong!
Back to World's Edge for me. 🙂
@BovinePiracyWhere are you guys playing, I've played it for 5 hours, and shadows haven't won once. Usual count of shadows is 10-12 and with that count its impossible to win against ie. Wraith combo.
Only played 6 or 7 matches, shadows only won one match.
- @K0rh4k I'm in Los Angeles, on the Salt Lake server. With Shadow players quitting, more and more Legends are winning. I'll see the start of a match with around 35 players and by the time the Evac Ship is getting ready to split we're down to about 21. SO it's tilting now in favor of Legends, I'd guess.
Not to mention that downed players can get in the Evac Ship.
I am getting matches with 10 legends, and 7 shadows. When the game mode released it was enjoyable because it was being played how it was intended to be played (I hope.)
Now, Pathfinders are teaming up early game making insane layers of ziplines and just zipping back and forth shooting shadows as they come.
I played 2 frustrating games today, different scenarios in each one.
First one, there were 5 pathfinders at mid-game (roughly 18 players left) who teamed up at water treatment creating a lot of ziplines from the roofs of the buildings to the silo looking towers.
The issue was is that you can't climb the silos as a shadow, so you HAD to go on the ziplines. The pathfinders would just shoot whatever shadow decided to take the zipline. There's no way to fix this, so it's just an absolute rip for the shadow team any day. ehem, open landing areas for Evac Ship.
The Second annoying game, 7 shadows vs. 10 legends. Someone is going to have to tell me how lucky they would have to have been to win a game like that as a shadow. Well, anyways we didn't win as shadows. Instead, we killed 1 legend, and the rest of the 9 escaped without even getting touched.
And just apply again, the most common and annoying games, are the ones where Wraiths, Pathfinders, Octanes, and basically any mobility-related Legend use's their ultimate to clap the Evac Ship.
(Also Pathfinders able to place ziplines on Evac Ship, excuse me?)
If I have to suggest anything. It's going to be: 1. Evac ship lands in open areas ONLY. 2. Deactivate ultimates/tactical near the Evac ship (Maybe 10-20 meters away from it). 3. Don't let downed Legends get in the Evac ship unless there is another legend already inside it.

Honestly I haven't been paying attention to the count on how many shadows are remaining, but it seems to be on a much higher side than what is mentioned here. I play on the Salt Lake server, Mountain Time. I don't know if it matters but I am also playing on console. I can see if people leave though how the balance of power would shift in favor of the Legends. I just haven't seen what you all have been experiencing. I also haven't been playing longer than 5 or 6 games before I play regular Apex because I am frustrated about not being able to make the Drop Ship because of another Shadow win.eVERY GAME i HAVE PLAYED TODAY, AT END THERE IS MAYBE 8-10 SHADOWS. Folks are just quitting now. Legends have won every game today. the mode has quickly become tedious. Need to change how things work. Shadows maybe some more health etc.
I've been facing the opposite. Legends winning way too often. Mainly beacuse shadows are quitting.
