shooting and then randomly punching... [XBOX]

So on many occasions I have noticed when I am in the middle of a heated battle my character will randomly punch while I am emptying my magazine, and sometimes this happens when I go for a reload, I know fer sure that I am not clicking my analog stick, no way is the stick that sensitive. Is this happening to others?

@Subtle_Tactics I've not had this happen but a friend has consistently had it happen to him. What controller do you use?

What would be really good is if someone with a Xim could say whether this has happened to them or not, because unless they want it to - their fingers will be nowhere near the melee button.

Using a XIM is considered cheating on console in Apex

@Subtle_Tactics You can change your controller preset to button puncher which prevents this, it swaps crouch with melee on the controller
