Skill based matchmaking sucks

I've been playing the game release, took a break during season 2 and came back in season 3. A friend and I got up to pred. In rank, but there is one big issues now which is pub lobbies. Now I don't mind trying my hardest in rank but in pubs it be nice to sit back and just game because at the end of the day I'm just a gamer who wants to have fun. I don't need 20bomb every game, I'm just not one of those kids that wants to run the lobby. There is a few issues with this new SBMM one being a really big problem. First playing solo is a joke, my teammates are clueless bots who can't win one gun fight then just leaves the second they go down and now I'm playing the game solo... Why??? This is not fun to me. 

Second the biggest problem, I've gotten a few friends to try the game out and after a few games they get off and tell me they don't like the game. Why you may ask?? Because these are level 1-2 wanting to play with their friend (Me) and the lobbies they get to try to learn the game in are 3 stack preds holding hands during every fight. My friends get destroyed, yes I know get good or "gud" for the kids out there but they downloaded the game to play with me now solo. Do I tell my friend to play solo till he gets good, NO! If I want to chill and play with some new players and help them learn the map, weapons and legends I should be able to help with out them going against preds. You can't say start new account, first why do I need to make a new account that has all my skins and what not on there to play with friends. Also SBMM is so strong I did make a new account, did a 20 bomb and went to level 4, next game back to all preds again. Do I make 50 new accounts and changes after each game so my friends don't get destroyed. 

Long story short, these friends don't play this game anymore, they hate it really. They didn't learn anything because they couldn't and this is pretty frustrating to see when I can't even play with friends because of this pointless sbmm. Rank is there for a reason, play against people at your skill level, bring back the old apex legends when you could have fun and run any weapon besides R99/PK.

yes.. we do not ever get put into a game with players of our skill set.. i actually get a more balanced game if i play ranked.. it does not add up! we all feel like uninstalling the game as the satisfaction level is at zero currently.  we went from 2-3 wins per day to being lucky for 1 per week, a top 10 finish is a good game currently.. i understand as the community have improved skill wise games become more challenging but its nearly unplayable currently, every game we are against apex predators and high platinum's. it needs to go back to how it was or the player base will die off. not everyone is shroud or ninja.   

When SBMM was first out I didn’t really notice it, overtime i noticed improvement I thought I was getting better with movement and doing things Ive seen other players do but now I think it was because of SBMM aswell, then It put me with people I couldn’t handle and the game sucked (at the start of the xmas event) now that nobodys playing the event (im assuming i havnt in awhile) and alot of players left again (im assuming) is why my matches are back to my skill level again, i still run into a god compared to me and saw a predator trail yesterday but I actually killed the predator with a g7 on drop but got gangbanged by their mirage friend lol Ive won 2 of like 10 games ive played today, you can’t win them all some games I get a couple kills, some you get wrecked, honestly im not even sure what SBMM is anymore i think they just put all the pros in upper lobbys to be miserable and everyone else in lower ones because ive been seeing level 1s to people with a few thousand kills but not 8-25k+ anymore like I was,I see a player with 100+ Season 3  wins but Im not far behind I guess I have 60 (total) season 3 wins, but the players with 100-250+ wins are only one 1 legend so unless its a main I assume they have 500-1k+ 

Ive been having fun lately again with SBMM however it all depends on the time of the day, at night theres less people in the queue and the times are pretty long, I noticed instead of 60 people the game only starts with 40-50 people sometimes it says 41 in the dropship from the start or 44 and i really dont think they all got disconnected or left...

the only positive thing about SBMM i can think of is that it made me fully switch to Ranked and i started slowly progressing towards Diamond which i hope i hit this season 

I'm at level 209 in Apex and I only play with ransoms. People cried about sbmm they turned it off every game I have to struggle and carry a team of rookies that just started the game. I'm forced to play ranked to get any kind of help or any player even close or above my skill level. You people cried so much about playing against predators and diamond ranks that if your ranks high enough and you play with randoms you'll be paired with a super low level. 

I agree. I am fed up with this game. I have 230 kills and I just played against a player that has 5100 kills and was hitting me with Wingman shots from across the map. Makes it no more fun to play this game. You may be losing a player Apex. 

Yeah. I started playing like two weeks ago, and I realized I like this game, and wanted to have fun. I don't play ranked because a) I only have one person to play with, and there's no duo ranked and b) I just want to paly a few matches, have fun and maybe, *maybe* win a game or two.

It was all fun for a few days, I enjoyed the matches, we had a few good moments, a few good kills, but I'm not very good at multiplayer games, mid-silver at best... And after a few days, every match someone kills me. Not just kills me, but absolutely s**ts on me. Which would be fine. But then I take a look at their stats and see several THOUSAND kills and 500 account level with like 50+ season 5 wins. 

There's just no fun, or any point to the game whatsoever because I can't even improve, since I have no clue what I'm doing wrong as I can't even deal a single point of damage most of the time, I just get one-shot from highground with a wingman and back to lobby I go.
