For me SBMM has changed the game to fun and winning!
I have 1 win per evening, sometimes 2, THATS AWESOME GREAT!
Before I had my 2-3 wins per week, but now there are more beatable enemies!

Still, all yay-sayers (which frankly seems to be a clear minority at least on this forum) for this SBMM just keep ignoring the main argument against it: there is already a mode where you are tested against equally skilled opponents; its called RANKED. I play ranked when I wanna sweat and really test myself but I also wanna play casually (or drunk/high/tired/not concentrated) with my friends, regardless of their skill level.
This SBMM has actually made casual as tryhard and sweaty as Ranked. The only way "casual" is playable now is if I first refuse all my friends that are worse than me and only group together my equally skilled friends. Requirement number two; be at the top of your game, no alt-tabbing to Facebook, no listening to music in the background, but only hard focus and sweat... All this to play some "casual" Apex =)
But tbh, I feel like the SBMM has been a little more soft recently, or is it just me? Now I can jump into random games that actually isnt stacked to the max and actually get some 3k+ dmg bangers once in a while.
I want SBMM to be a thing, but if they already don’t have this feature we need to be able to get demoted for repetitive defeats i literally can’t do the lobby im in, I can’t even do 200 damage... i was popping 7-10 kill games and winning every match in the new event mode and now pubs are impossible im guessing its because I was the champion so much or all the xp I gained im level 173 ish now I think but I was maybe 125-130 ish but regardless the fact of the matter is The game is unplayable now so Im quitting the game after the Xmas Train Mode is Gone at this rate, I won’t be back until the next limited time mode, apex will just turn into one of those games we all love but will be more of a backup game for when we are bored and only log on for events or to check out an update and leave in other words not our main game anymore we will just go play Call of Duty or Fortnite with some little kids my friend wanted me on destiny 2 but I never tried it I might aswell now since apex is UNPLAYABLE until Im demoted
Fortnite has always been that ‘’back up go to game’’ for me, the epic games launcher just sits on my pc and takes up space I only open it to redeem the free games they give out every week (I have played some of those) Anyways, it just sits there to take up space on my hard drive I never open it, maybe once every 2-3 months if Im lucky it always needs a massive update and the last time I opened it was whenever I heard about some batman skins idk if they have SBMM or what but I won that first solo game like it was nothing with 13 kills and I didn’t remember any of the buttons... couldn’t build or anything took me forever to figure out how to crouch and run and all that lol but ya it just sits there for when im bored or hear about an event... Do you want apex legends to be one of those games for me? It is currently my main game, but not for long if SBMM isn’t adjusted

Sorry but ranked seems to me much much harder than random.
A lot of squads in ranked are premade and they use headsets + discord.
So far I got silver level 4 and I don't want to play ranked any longer...
I get together with silver level 1 players (3 levels higher in my own squad! WHY?) that tell me I need to go discord...

Ranked for me does not show my skill level!
Your concentration, your muscleresponse, your reflexes change every day!
If you had worked long and just wanna have an easy match you can't play ranked on your ranked level.
And ranked level can be achieved by grinding, surviving without kills and just getting points for the placements.
SBMM evaluates your dayly fitness and gives you good matches according to your current skill level.
Thats why I think it is more fun now.
- @Flashshark1980 Hi, first of all not many people in silver bracket really plays with squads. Silver isnt try hard bracket. There is literally no skill difference between silver1 and silver 4. The problem you are encountering in ranked mode is smurf accounts and guess why guys like me are ruining your ranked games? Because of SBMM. I cant play my main account so i log into my smurf and destroy your game, i know its not fair but i cant play my main account. Its just impossible.
Sbmm Doesnt evaluate my daily fitness whatsoever. It just throws me to PRO public matches where i encounter 60k kill guys, so its just unplayable and i am not a pro. I have 1,6kd which is low for average people. The guys i get matched with have 5+ K/D i cant compete with them, i dont have that much skill for sure.
When i started playing this game as a basic noob ( i didnt play FPS games for 12 years ) some days my lobby was well noob friendly, sometimes a huge streamer kills me and i think omg that guy is insane, lets watch him a bit. I learn couple of tricks, check his stream laugh at how i was killed and move on. Sometimes i got in the same team with those guys and they gave me some tips, so i improved a lot in a short period of time. Thats only because i got to play with them, watch their moves check the stream see what i did stupid to die to him.
Now, you get thrown into full 0,5 kd players and you have nothing to learn. You jump around, you get killed, you get some kills thats it. Its gonna be like that for a big time for you. If you dont want to improve at the game (which was me for a while) i stuck with some good campaign non multiplayer games.
Another problem is for example you got really lucky, had 10+ kills somehow or won 3 games in a row... Then welcome to predators and you get matched to me as a teammate and i see you dont do anything usefull and i become toxic because even i cant handle that lobby and you with me makes me frustrated. Because i am doomed to get destroyed every single match.@WickXIIm that player that got lucky and now im useless af and the games unplayable and then everyone trash talks to me... so now mic just stays muted ‘’great job you did nothing this match’’ (I was knocked, had self revive Then I revived, got shot at so i used mirages cloak and ran (ring was also closing) then i healed up and teammates both died in the ring and it was final 3 and they really expect me to win it when everyones way above my skill level ._. and that full squad that shot at me when i self resed was chasing me in the process
- @Babbediboopi They took the standards down a few levels with SBMM bcz i can see myself doing way more now then i did before the event. And it finds matches more fast and wat do you know i stopped lagging bcz it doesnt throw me into some Singapur servers when i play at 2am CET like before so ye they actually listened up to a point. But that doesnt change the fact its still there even tho 70% of world wode players hate it.
Thank you like that’s why ranked is there so Sbmm is completely irrelevant
