I think they seem pretty convinced that they want this META like this now when I tried to play for a bit yesterday.
The ammount of pre-mades is over the roof nowadays so they probably wanted something for them.
I mean this game is overally more suited for pre-made teams anyway if they play in same lobbies as solos and this is going to cost them a lot of solo players without gamer friends when Warzone 2 releases.
They made it clear in S13, this is team-based game and if you dont have a team its bad for you I guess.
This META is pretty toxic not gonna lie. Already got oneshotted by pre-made team Snipers mark + Longbow and got solo killed by Snipers mark only because it deals damage of charged Sentinel in following shots.
Snipers mark in pre-made team hands is game-breaking. There is trully no place for casual solo player in this game anymore.
I dont know, just play Trios if you cant stand this, it wont change anytime soon, think it may get even worse because this is team-based game and you dont have what this game is based on so I think it can get pretty hard for you.

I played 4 matches last night Solo Q ranked and placed top ten in all of the games one was a top 5 and the last game we won.
None of my sqd mates were premade duo's either so we were completely a three stack of Randoms.
Sure Vantage is out there and makes things difficult but what legend makes anything easy?

I played approx 10 matches yesterday and 75% of them I was stomped on by pre-mades. Once two tapped just by Snipers mark and once one-shotted by Snipers-mark + Longbow dont even know from where.
Those are Gold2 games for you... Im used to play in Diamond till S13 where its just pre-made Preds there (then I stopped playing). Game is slowly becoming unplayabble for me, I mean its okay if you play just few games, but I was used to play 8+ hours per day and I could enjoy that before S13 gone live and its even worse in S14, dont wanna see S15. To be honest looting is the part I enjoy the most nowadays.It is really bad or Imj just bad in the game.

I think this is your greater concern and not really Vantage.
But like i said before Solo Q-ing is not as bad as you make it out to be at least in Plat and below.
If you want to compete with the diamonds, Masters and Preds you are going to have to play like most of them do and three stack.
