@Swarth2300 Bangalore has not been meta in ages. She just this season has been a big pick in comp. If you notice teams are trying out a lot of different legends even in this ALGS. You have some running wattson, some running caustic among many more. Being used in comp for 1 tournament or comp is not anything to worry about as of yet.
In fact Bangalore only has a 7.4% pick rate. Which is far from 100%. Legends are only as good as the person who is playing it. You can see more about pick rates for each legend here.

i honestly watch about half of ALGS matches, mostly NA and APEC South so i am not sure what is happening in EU or APEC North but the majority of matches i see have at least 18 bangalore's, also watch a lot of scrims similar story(however scrims is just more NA so maybe that doesnt count) and i do hope with the removal of digi on smg's that her pickrate will go down.
reading the links you provided especially with the general pickrates(not ALGS) is very interesting though while i was mostly talking about the ALGS because i only recently came back to playing apex legends so while my experience in the past few days has been a lot of bangalore statistics prove that its not really the case, just the meta in algs has become so stale so that is really my main concern but hopefully the new update changes some things - 2 years ago@E9ine_AC The pickrate of lowtierplayers is irrelevant for balance issues.

I think I read something into your statement that you didn't really mean like, "the needs and desires of low-skill players are irrelevant." Which is not at all what you meant, or what you said. Guess I get preemptively defensive whenever I see @matzesingt. Totally on me, not on you. And your statement is 100% right. But you already knew that!- 2 years ago
@reconzeroNo I don’t mean their needs are irrelevant, my point is that their pickrate is influenced by factors that have nothing to do with how good a legend is.
A pro team will ignore such factors, they play what's the best not what they like the most.on top of that I believe games should get balanced on top lvl and not for avgandy, and most games get balanced like that for example Dota. If a hero is strong and has a high pickrate in a tournament usually he gets nerfed after.
- E9ine_AC2 years agoHero+@matzesingt Lower tier players is pretty much the entire player base. Pros dont even count as 1% of the population.
So if legends are good they are picked. If legends are bad they are left untouched.- 2 years ago@E9ine_AC and what does it matter that the top tier players are only 1% ?
No legends get picked by lower tier people not solely because how good they are, just compare algs pickrates to overall ranked pickrate and you will see that it doesn’t align at all…
