@Zone_Dictator An excellent Point! Why not just expand the offerings? From just about any perspective, this would be an ideal approach. Imagine a game where you could choose from different modes, broken into 4 or 5 main groups.
Group #1 BR Pub modes, which would include solo, duo, trio, and maybe even quad.
Group # 2 Competitive modes, where you have your ranked modes in BR and possibly arenas.
Group # 3 Pub Arena modes, which would include classic arenas, TDM, and Control (Not cycling either. the modes are selectable at all times)
Group #4 - Chaos Modes, Including Lockdown, Gun Run, etc. (Not cycling either. the modes are selectable at all times)
Group #5 - AI modes, which would help with practice and training. Firing range, tutorial can be in there, but so could a watered down BR or other mode where people can party up with friends, or be set up with AI teammates to practice play as a squad. Noobs can have a safe space away from cheaters, and a poor matchmaking system to hone their skills, thus reducing the discouragement we see when new players try Apex.
By having these modes as permanent, you would have excellent data to see basically what works, and what doesn't. LTM popularity data is skewed on the fact that the mode is a novelty. It is not truly representative of what the players want, and IMHO would be irresponsible for the devs to interpret the player data as an accurate representation of reality.
At the end of the day, after reading countless posts here, and on other platforms, the players would be more inclined to invest in a game that is committed to the positive player experience, is stable, and longevity is somewhat assured, rather than on expensive cosmetics for a game that may be the architect of its own misfortune, and disappear in the short term.
