Solos and Duos must become a permanent thing.

I don't get why solo/duo queue isn't a permanent thing in Apex Legends yet. I'm often only playing with my duo partner and honestly, there are about a million reasons as to why solo/duo queue should be a permanent thing in both casual and ranked.

First of all, most players don't have two other people to play with all the time and playing with a "random" can be quite infuriating.
Most people either don't have a mic or don't want to use it. (I would say about 90% or more in casual games)
But even when people do use voice the voicechat in Apex is so bad I can't even hear them half of the time,
the volume is super low so even though i've set mine to max I can't hear most people in voice, the quality is also pretty bad compared to other competitive games.

Second, when most players try to do their daily/weekly challenges it can ruin the entire game. Let's say they pick Crypto or some legend they're not playing normally ONLY because of the challenge and then they drop in a specific spot only because of that challenge and pick up certain weapons etc. JUST because of the challenge. Then the team is split between trying to win and trying to do some challenges. This ruins the experience for anyone just trying to play the game normally.

Thirdly, it's no secret that most "random" players are super egoistic when it comes to loot and don't care if some loot, let's say a golden backpack, would be better on Lifeline than on their own legend. This also cripples the team as a whole and always makes it harder to win and will most likely lose the game.

TL;DR

1. Communications with randoms is more or less non-existent other than a few spam pings when people get downed
2. You never know if random people is trying to do some challenges and therefore can't play around it and will most likely lose because of it.
3. Most random players are egoistic and will nab all the good loot no matter if it would be better on someone else in the squad.

I could go on and on but really this is an obvious thing that Respawn should have already implemented in season one. It would make the game much more competitive and fix a lot of problems currently in the game. It would also make ranked much better for reasons already mentioned.

When you're solo with two premades 🙂

I don't mind skill based match making however I do have a problem with being focused fired. There are a lot of people that are not good but often times they get picked up after they should have been dead. My teammates go down and Leave then I'm forced to play 3x My skill Level I just have a hard time believing that that is fair.

Playing with randoms is so annoying but sorry Im one of those who just dosn’t use my mic when wearing headphones or I just use speakers without a mic all together because I don’t use it anyways (Most of the time. Can’t hear my squad anyways as you said aswell Idk if its a game issue or people are not talking loud enough or are using cheap mics)

For the challenges aspect, this is one of the main reasons I want solo mode is so I can just do my dailys/challenges without hinderring 2 other people also idk why but certain challenges I just cannot do no matter how many games I try with a team but If I just go solo for a match then I can get it done so easily...

Sorry I admit to spam pinging but thats mainly if someone is self resing next to me or If an enemy decides to do a finisher

Anyways Im all for solos/duos mainly for solos because I still don’t like being with other players but I would be fine with duos aswell because theres a 50% chance to be solo anyways and even If I was solo its alot easier 1 vs 2 instead of 1 vs 3

@Cpt_Skidmarks i wish there would be a solo/duo mode... than i would be back playing apex active.. right now i just check in to make my 5dayli-weekly xD would be so much more fun

@Cpt_Skidmarks They will not add solos and duos because of such gamers like me, who prefer the classic apex squad games. Its a team game. I hadn't any problems with random teammates communication. 90% of them are happy to work together as a team. and armor/weapon swap isn't an exceptional situation. maybe problem in you?

@creamonurstream Yes that is also a big problem, most "random" players instantly leave if they get downed or finished off.

Then it's like playing 1v3 or 2v3 for the rest of the game if you have a premade.

@djentyman I'm not sure that I fully understand what you're trying to say.

But no, I'm clearly not the problem since I always try to play with other people as a team but then again it's impossible to play as a team when most people just play as if they were solo. That was my point.

Now I'm diamond in Apex and therefore I play against diamond/predators, which also is a REALLY bad decision from Respawn, (putting dia/pred in the same queue) and when you get people that don't cooperate and play smart the games can become so much harder or almost impossible if the other team knows how to cooperate.

@djentyman everyone who prefers teamplay can still play 3man squad. nobody says you wouldnt be allowed to play the way you want. but for everyone who dont want to play in a team, there should be a solo mode. you hadnt had problems with teammates? well lucky you because in my experience its more like 90% * and 10% who workes together or even want to play in a team...

@Rastigani @Cpt_Skidmarks The Respawn studio said it at least one(i believe more then once) that Apex Legends will not have a solos permanently because it contradicts their general rule - apex is a team based game.

No the problem is you. The very people that cant shoot and need to team fire one dude at the same time because your trash otherwise. There is nothing fair about squads and games that have one game mode are boring. Solos and duos are in the game because the developers highlighted an idea that should bave been permanent.

@djentyman Be that as it may but if that's how they think as developers when I would say most people want duos and solos Apex legends will die out quicker than it should.

Also if they really want it to be a team based game as you said, they should fix the voice chat and maybe give the option to players like me to only queue with people that has a mic and that also has checked that option. (I have seen it in other games)

Just a sidenote: BR will never really be a team based genre unless you play with people you know or really connect with because you have to know your teammates playstyle to be effective as a team. (at least from diamond and up)
99% of the time you won't have that with someone you just met in a game and who won't speak at all.
