Some feedback on Vantage and some weapons
Vantage’s ultimate is just lacking, compared to ground weapons it just doesn’t overperform compared to them. Which is a problem as Vantage’s ultimate has a major laser handicap. I wish it were different. The ultimate works fine as long as enemies have blue armour, but when they get purple or beyond, it falls flat on its face and becomes no better, if not worse, than a ground sniper. Here’s how to fix that:
Vantage ultimate:
Damage set to 50 on the first shot, and 150 on the second shot.
Or 70 damage on the first shot, and 140 damage on the second shot.
Either way it should 2-shot purple armour with 200 hp.
As for other weapons that need balancing:
R301: increase horizontal recoil slightly
R301 is too good at long range due to its incredible accuracy, it needs a recoil nerf so it can’t outsnipe snipers and marksmen rifles.
Kraber: make groundloot, set damage to 75 and when scoped in for 3 seconds, give a +20% damage on the next shot. Shot cycling speed increased slightly.
The kraber has been a carepackage weapon for too long, this should add a new groundloot weapon to the game that is also interesting and unique from other snipers, rewarding patient well aimed shots.
I also think a Taser-like energy pistol would be fun. Electrically stunning enemies upon flesh hits, a sort of hammerpoints. With a slow fire rate ofcourse.
Making the Bow take sniper ammo and reducing its damage to 65 would also be a welcome change, I simply don’t like carepackage weapons I suppose. And the bow has been in there for far too long. Furthermore, the arrow ammo just doesn’t fit in the game as a single weapon ammo type, and I don’t really think more arrow weapons would fit the theme of the game. When using the bow I already think it is silly, with a higher bullet speed than some firearms.
Another option would be to give the bow to an upcoming legend, that way the entire ammo problem is countered, and it could serve as an interesting ultimate weapon. It does after all have a very silent shooting sound, enabling some kind of silent ranged attack.
I hope more weapons get akimbo options.
Perhaps a new explosive weapon class could also be fun to add to the game.
I strongly disagree with people who say the game has “too many” weapons, I love tons of content, as long as it is balanced.
