@mrheadshot2004 The spectating icon was removed via request from players and a lot of them at that. It was not something they just decided they wanted to remove.
A lot do not feel comfortable or that they can perform well with people watching them. So tons had asked for it to be removed due to that and among other reasons but the main complaint was they felt they could not perform well with others watching.

@E9ine_AC they should have made it an option in the setting in my personal opinion.
