If I win a game, the next one will be considerably harder almost every time. Many diamond trails, a few masters and sometimes preds.
If I play longer, I seem to get harder lobbies, independent from my performance.
Sometimes the lobbies get noticeably harder while I’m having a horrible losing streak, but this time I also get good/great teammates. I guess these are the type of games where I’m supposed to be carried (which happens sometimes, but these wins feel awful because I didn’t deserve it).
I get an easy lobby every 10 – 20 games where the average skill level is clearly lower than mine. I end up winning the majority of these games with a kill count higher than the last 5 to 10 games combined.
So coming from a below average player, it does seem to be a different MM system. What you perceive to be 30 more or less equal lobbies (which are clearly below your skill level), are probably the lobbies I get after winning a game, where I also have a high chance of getting weak teammates and I’m supposed to carry. But contrary to you, I don’t have the skill to do so.

Yeah exactly my thought. So maybe my randoms where a "player at your level" (mean ofc no offense) who just did well in his last match in the matchmaking tier below mine and got "promoted". Because what you describe as your harder matches with "many diamond trails, a few masters and sometimes preds" is kinda what is normal for my casual gaming experience.
But I think its strange that I never got "promoted" after a good game to the tier above me that definitely exists. Whenever I play as a full 3-man premade, our lobbies are way harder than those I experienced during this experiment And when I play full premade squad with my two Ex pred/Master friends, our lobbies kinda look like this, with the majority has at least Diamond trails and many are Masters. On this screenshot, I count at least 6 Master trails and almost everyone else Diamond, and this was a bit further in the flight path so many Preds had already left..
Maybe its some kind of compromise by Repsawn. If you are above average and play solo (which can be frustrating as it is), at least you know you are among the better in each lobby but if you want to keep your less skilled teammate around in the match, you need to man up and take responsibility to help them survive, i.e carry them.
