Stop doing rev dirty
OK, so as a rev main, I can't help but notice that after coming back to the game after a year of updates, my boy has gotten nerfed to oblivion. Personally I'm not happy and I know a lot of players arnt either so I have thought up some ideas that could improve him but not brake him in an unfair way.
Passive: personaly this is something I don't entirly think needs a buff rather I feel some of the locations you can climb up can be to tedious due to rocks sticking out and even though you most certainly can make that the rock makes you have to fall down annoyingly manage a manager to another section of the face or just take the long way. That's not a rev play. The worst part is that we have had characters that can full blown ignore walls and get there faster which in some ways makes his saveing grace lack luster.
I propose that you give rev the option to cling to areas while he is climbing however it lowers the climbs distance the longer you hold onto. Or similar to his release video let him have a short hop while climbing. I personally have no problems with the crawl I think that's fine
Tactical: this is very situational and I have found that many people are not afraid of it compared to how they once were. These days it's just not something to worry about as it doesn't last long enough or do enough damage. The silence can however the chances you get to use it for its given use are less then I'd like to say.
What I propose is a few possible ideas. Firstly increase the damage to deal more initaly say 20 I mean so many people can burst people down these days giving that an extra 10 damage isn't to much to ask. Second option is and I have said this in the past give it a pulsing effect with the damage in an area this will more then defiantly give that slight bit of fear against players as they know not only do they loose their ability but if they keep going they will defiantly be tortured with a bit of damage if they get stuck next to it
3rd option is rework the ability. Personally I'm not against it, I would prefer it stayed however a rework maybe something he needs I mean that passive got the treatment maybe this could get it to.
Ult: OK this is what revenant is meant to be known for sowhy the hell is it something so lack luster. This is an ultimate we are talking about so why is it no longer as useful. It's because it's what has been overly nerfed. I can understand that there are some pretty hefty strats you can do if you have movement options but to debuff it so much is just unfair. I am fine with the totem placement alert for enemies however a smaller time frame to do buisness while also haveing a larger hit box it's not great for him. Rev needs this buffed
I propose a few things the first is something I would partner with the idea for his passive I gave earlier being able to climb and stick. The idea is you let him place the totem on a wall odd yes selfish yes however in his playstyle yes it is. Not only does that mean you have a character who can revolve completely around walls something other characters defiantly can't do you have a unique way of creating options of attack additionaly if other players go looking for the ult it's harder to reach something he can already do but he has to go out of his way to do so. While yes team mates may not be able to access it you still have character's that can e.g. valk or vantage. On a bonus side note upon returning you will start in free fall which means it would be preferable to place it on a wall.
The second option I can think of is make it combinable with his tactical. Perhaps by shooting a tactical at it before use or once you yourself have activated it, it could produce a personalised silence that would defiantly prevent other players from using it. That said due to it being breakable maybe make it sturdy or unbreakable whilst revenant personaly uses it. I know that is selfish of a character in a team based game but I believe it would be more beneficial.
Other things I'd consider. There is apparently a new movement technique for revenant that requires a lot of difficulty to do. It allows you to wall run around corners of buildings why not make that easier and an actual ability for revenant. Second slim his hit box in some way. He has a large hit box which is only balanced out by constantly bobbing and weaveing however my experience with that has resulted in bullets still hitting me definitely slim him down.
Again these are just some ideas feel free to discuss or use them as I do want rev to go up not further down character rankings.
