Honestly, the map just isn't good. It is too big causing people to run around for 20 minutes doing a looting simulation and then half of the map is just open range. It forces you to play champs with shields and it just isn't fun. Every time I give it a try, I play about 2 games and I'm done. It's just not fun. I can understand competitive play but nobody really likes this. People who like it just force themselves to like it or just suck at the mechanics and would rather sit in a tree and snipe for half the time. Okay, but what if the other two teams don't want to sit like campers and actually wanna run and have fun? Why make Stormpoint a rank map and a pub map at the same time? Just not logical. I wish apex would look at their player numbers and see people stop playing when it's this map. If you make this map the ran rotation, at least make the pub the other maps.

@TreBorders23Boldface. Intense.I'm not sure who told you that hot drop = good loot but they lied. If they implied that cool or cold drops mean bad loot, then they lied to you twice.Entire lobbies landing in two or three places is not unique to Storm Point. After first circle there are still fights to be had before the endgame... if you know where to look. If you don't think you can traverse such a big map in a timely fashion in order to find them then there are tridents and gravity cannons which attract enemies like honey attracts bees. But even if there weren't, and even if it was just a handful of squads ratting... this is partly the nature of battle royale, and this season reinforced by the ranking system. I don't see it as a map size issue, but if I'm overlooking something or if you think there's a case to be made then make away. I'll read every word.

@TreBorders23 I specifically go to the edges near a trident on SP so that I can take my time looting and then in no time find some action in the middle by traversing in a trident. It isn't rocket science. It is the way to play SP.Loot the edge, grab a ride, and scram into the fight.

@Cocopuff296 this map is literally the worse map i've ever played on. it's like it was designed for beings who are 15 feet tall. everything is far apart. there are vast swatches of land with nothing but grass. there is no loot anywhere. there are like three POI. no one even bothers to land on the edge because it takes forever to get anywhere. EVAC towers won't help because they're too short.

this map is infuriating to play on and i have no idea how anyone thought this was a good idea.

I just want to know why storm point was just randomly added to the map rotation mid season. It honestly is the weakest map in the game and I’m sure everyone agrees. Storm point is just too big for 60 people to play on and it just results in action at the beginning of the game then absolutely nothing until final circle. Please just take it out of rotation and choose literally any other map

@DK9027 No joke, you probably are genuinely the first person I’ve ever met who enjoys storm point. Everywhere I look it’s hate across the board when it comes to storm point. My friends and I literally hop off the game when storm point is in rotation and I’ve seen plenty of other people get off until a new map is there. I have no idea where you are finding people who actually put storm point over Olympus or Kings Canyon. Olympus is literally their strongest map. It’s just the right size, you don’t have to go across the entire map to find action, and every game the pace is far better than the pace on storm point. And if “breathing room” is not fighting until final circle keep me away from that. If I wanted “breathing room” I would play ranked

@PoppaPerc300 Fair enough if your just craving fight after fight. It's easy if tou plan things out before hand just a tad. If your hot dropping bam huge fight, followed by third parties. Keeping to the middle of the map, particularly array, storm catcher, ect. Will see loads of foot traffic. Barometer is also an area to scout out.

Also making use of the mobility items like the trident and grav cannon will get you to the next fight in no time. It just about staying mobile and listening for other fights in progress.

I actually broke my record for eliminations (eleven) using Mirage on storm point

I would have said, and correct me if I'm wrong, that this reads as if it's coming from a player who grew up on CoD team deathmatch, and maybe even understands the differences between arena shooters and battle royale, but who can't quite bring himself to act on that knowledge because he just plain prefers the adrenaline rush of a faster game. In other words, may it's not the map. Maybe it's the player.
