Strongly considering quitting after latest patch

Leave the game when it’s Kings Canyon, play when it’s Worlds Edge. That’s what I’m going to do.

I don't hate K.C. and I main Watson so I kinda like brawling up close. I just dislike the idea that I can not have a choice of what I want to play. This game already has an insanely fast queue time. I'd be fine waiting two minutes or so to find a game if it's the one I wanted. I would actually play like two three matches on world's edge then go play one or two in ranked after it split. Like I like them both, even though I do prefer world's edge. But my two buddies who I just finally got to switch off of overwatch to this like four months ago hate K.C. played two matches today and decided nope I'm going back to that game. I think with the timing of the new COD battle Royale this could be bad. You might end up increasing queues forever with a lose of players. The people who also recruit their friends to games usually are new to the game as well. New player will be frustrated by having the game play completely opposite of what they're used to. They will either go back to a game they are used to, or try something else that isn't as frustrating. 

Like I'll honestly play both, it's just incredibly frustrating that respawn admits there's a loot density problem, then says but hey deal with it for awhile though, because some people like this mode more. No just let them pick that mode. They would have longer queues, but from what I'm reading a majority of people would rather deal with that. You could even do like an opposite rotation duos is on W.E. while trios is on K.C.,then switch that every hour or two. Or every other day, I'd be okay with that maybe, I'd still prefer a choice. But to say the map is not working it needs higher loot density, but for part of the time deal with it....come on, just make K.C. have higher loot density. Not a broken mode you keep because people who played when the game first came out are nostalgic for it. Have that be its own lobby. It will be a lot of hardcore players that will play other hardcore longtime players and they'll be fine with waiting because that was their preferred mode. 

Weird; amongst my discord group almost everyone thinks the map rotation system they've introduced is the best change Apex has seen in a long time.

Does wonders for keeping the game fresh, both visually and tactically.

Yes, but how would that be an different with the player having the choice to switch. It actually would keep it more fresh if I had the choice to just switch over when I wanted to. Forcing change down people's thoughts never works. Look at new coke, or even in this game itself, when you switched to world's edge you lost a ton of players. Now you want to repeat the same thing? For what hopes of getting the players you lost back. This is a bad decision by respawn, at probably the worst possible time ever to make it. You won't get old players that hated world's edge back. They LL play a couple K.C. matches see it's now forcing them to world's edge. Then goodbye again. To most of them. But I'm telling you you'll see an increase in new players because of the current global climate. But after a month your total numbers will drop. You will loose recent players. Maybe bring back a few of the old players. And the retention rate on the newest of new players will be unchanged. Once the world stops sheltering in place your number of players will be lower than it was before the shelter place orders...just watch. I don't want that. They'll then switch to you have your choice, but with less players,then the queue times will increase by more than they would've if respawn would have just made this choice first. And then you will loose more players because of long not longer queues. I love this game and I see this killing it.

Will finish out the season but likely will not be going into season 5 if there is no way to pick maps
