@nebwise But Respawn doesn’t want that. They want to keep it a * fest, with as much meat for high ranks and smurfs to grind.
@Pulvertomten The devs and designers have been clear with public messaging around SBMM, ranked rewards, solo modes, game balance and hot-dropping. I think they're being honest about wanting to improve AL team-play.
What they aren't addressing is the naiveté of new players faced with a game that is very different from COD or solo FPS.
The sh**fest is the natural state of online games. Newbs hot-drop because it's the most accessible AL experience. You don't have to know the map, your teammates, or your legend. It's a mindless, quick thrill that demands the least effort.
The best players come from CS, Rainbox Six, TF, or other more strategic games, with years of experience. Respawn needs to provide a clearer, step-by-step process that guides new players out of the wasteland, and jumpstart that learning process.
