Suspended for 1 week. Caught the wrong guy though.

Wow. Just Wow. Had a player harassing me on the mic during a game - responded back appropriately on the chat(i don't use a mic) - guess who gets suspended for a week - ME?!!!

Are we just supposed to listen to people talking * and not respond back - ?

Next time guys - Listen to both audio and chat and that will help figure this out. SMH! Here goes my appeal.

  • Hi @xSteppenxWolfx

I'm sorry, this isn't something we can look into on the forums. If you believe the ban was mistakenly added to your account by EA, then you can send in an appeal to the Terms of Service (ToS) team. This FAQ will be a helpful guide for all things EA Bans and Suspensions - How they work and how to get in contact with us.

However, if the ban was applied correctly because rule-breaking took place then sending in an appeal would be redundant. Contacting the ToS team is only advisable if you believe the ban you received was added by mistake/no rules were broken. There is no purpose reaching out to the ToS team aside from that as they will not overturn bans if the rules were broken and creating appeals for legitimate bans adds more to the queue and causes the wait times to spike.

    Take care,

There is no responding appropriately, just don't respond or you will get another deserved ban. Don't be baited.

And No, you don't have to listen to people talking or typing provocative nonsence, that's what the mute button is for.

Personally, I don't allow chat in either form into my playtime  and if I am playing with as friend, I use a phone to communicate.

This is the way of the ping!

To play this game a person really needs to have thick skin. Unfortunately disabling mic of team mates can put a person at tactical disadvantage if relying just on ping system.

Best thing to do is to simply leave the lobby if you're getting abused. By responding back you are letting them win because they want to provoke you into a response. Don't give them what they want. Just quit the lobby.

When muting you also have option in squad menu to mute their ping spam as well.
  • @PeterN_UK  @OldTreeCreeper I have been playing this for years - 5000 hours almost. So yeah you need thick skin - but this time around it was really annoying that's all. But yeah you guys are right - need to control temperament.

Two wrongs dont make a right. So your suspension is correct even though he maybe also deserved one. Its like saying "people are cheating so I also started to use hacks and shouldnt get punished" =) If you get too triggered by insults and must retaliate then I really suggest to play with in game coms off. Most things can be said way better with pings and between randoms is even "good" verbal communication usually overrated since you dont know each other (nothin worse than having some hardstuck gold player screaming stupid calls in your ear or even misleading things like "HE IS ONE SHOT HE IS ONE SHOT" when he barely did 40 dmg on the enemy =)

@Balladalidila haha I hear that all the time from team mates. "He is one shot" but they selfishly want you to try and banner grab, but they're planning to quit if you fail. "Nice try, I can see him shield swap your box"
