Syringe heal time

If we look at how long it takes to use a simple shield recharge and the time it takes to use a syringe, why does the syringe take 20 seconds to use and the shield recharge takes 3 seconds? I feel the syringe should take a lot less time to use than the current duration. I would make both the syringe and basic shield charge take 3 to 5 seconds to use since they are minor heals.

  • By the time you get revived in a fight and use the syringes to heal your team is most likely dead. They take way too long to use and the time needs to be cut down for sure. I could be wrong but im pretty sure using a first aid kit is only a few seconds longer to use than a syringe.

And how do you expect to get someone killed then? If it would only take a few seconds to heal up it would get nearly impossible in a long distance fight. Damaging an enemy until his shield breaks and his hp goes down is what really should punish people. That's why healing items take much longer to use.

  • When your shields are wiped, you still have your healthbar.

When your healthbar is wiped, you die.

Of COURSE health is going to take longer to replenish because it's more fragile.

The shield and healthpacks are there to supplement your fights and to replenish yourself after squad wipes.  It's made that way so you cherish your health more and play less run-and-gunny, especially after someone knocks your shields off.  It gives you a feeling and sense of urgency.  Use cover, keep distance.  Don't "thirst".

Healing in the middle of battle is supposed to be risky.

Healing while your squad is fighting after you're revived is another drastic decision you must make.  Do you trust your aim and tactics enough to support your squad while they engage or will you cower behind cover and save yourself?

The game is about making split-second decisions that either bring you closer to glory or damning yourself to hell.  How is this not apparent?
