The new ranked system is a total failure
The new ranked system is absolute garbage. The idea behind it was to combat smurfing and while it does that somewhat successfully, it destroyed the enjoyability and meaning behind playing ranked altogether.
In the new system players are ranked through their supposed skill into lobbies matching their own skills. In reality this means that when you are on the higher end of skill (plat/low diamond) you get constantly thrown into lobbies where you get rammed by three stacking masters/pred squads while simultaniously you get gold players who managed to farm the free master tier last season. Solo is impossible to play at the current state.
Second of all, what is the reason to play ranked when the rank you have has no meaning whatsoever. I am hardstuck at silver when the lobbies are full of people who are master tier. It is absolutely irrelevant to have a tier system when it has no correlation to the players you are playing against. The previous system was not perfect but atleast the rank meant something else than grinding your * off just to level up to the rank where your opponents are constantly at. Why play at all to rank up when you can just see that your enemies are multiseason pred/master and you are struggling to fight them while being in silver. I guess i can just say im master tier because of the opponents and not give a * what the game shows my current rank to be.
This is honestly a failure to improvise the game and has made ranks meaningless. People rat all the time while high end killsquads farm them. Bring back the ranked where your rank actually matters and not this meaningless grindfest.
