The Spitfire needs a nerf
It's pretty embarrassing the fact that every low skill player rocks it... It's so stupid the fact that has 55 rounds. Its too broken. You can one clip a full squad and have a few bullets left. I thin...
@AzraelSilens I can't disagree with this more. It's a boring method of balancing that makes all guns more or less the same. The high ammo capacity is what makes the gun unique so I'd rather see a nerf in other areas.
Would you rather it did less damage per bullet? Have an increase to recoil overall, rather than just at the start of firing? Have damage drop off and less TA at long ranges? Decrease hipfire accuracy? Lower headshot damage?
Anything that effects recoil or TA would barely affect pc players who already have pinpoint accuracy.
A decrease to even 40 rounds would make it so the weapon is still effective, and able to still do the same thing it does now, but reducing the capacity to just spray and pray. I would prefer it to be down to 35, but knowing that there are 15 less bullets that can come at me would make me feel better about challenging a spitfire, if i had cover.
The point is spitfire is an anti open spaces weapon. When you have zero cover it will likely bring you down, especially if anyone else is also shooting at you. I don't want to change that, I just want it's ability to just keep going to be reduced.
@AzraelSilensI mean they could lower things by 8, like Rampart would have 55 bullets max instead of 63, then every other legend would only have 47 bullets max but that doesn’t really fix anything it is still enough bullets to 1 v 3 an entire team
I don’t really want the magazine size lowered, I also don’t think the gold magazine is the problem because I honestly rarely ever get the instant reload feature because I never remember its even in the game
@AzraelSilens Yeah. I'd go for a minor damage and hipfire nerf. Make it a gun that loses close/midrange in head to head fights but accurate and overwhelming mid-long range.
Basically I'd want it to be useable at any at any range but for there to be a clear disadvantage against other weapon types built to fight at that distance. An easy gun to use that can't compete against anyone with a degree of skill that has a better gun for that range.
The Devs always go in a different direction than I'd expect so I'm just hoping they don't turn it into a lesser Assault rifle.
