@PogeNoobOk that may be so what do you do when you get third-partied and you can't get out of it and can't shield swap fast enough, then what? I'm only asking because on to many occasions I myself experience this along with the fabled third-party a third-party of a third-party. It like a dog pile later in the game. What do you do for that kind of encounter?

Exactly. Shield swapping is the ultimate solution to replenishing your shields, but sometimes you get trapped in those situations when you don't have time to shield swap. That's where this solution really shines. Since you're getting some shield health regenerated from the engagement, you could still shield swap, but you'll have that extra leg up against the competition.
I hate dog piling. I'm sure you do, too. This should make people think twice about third party engagements. Hell, they're still going to do it. But this would allow a more favorable transition from one fight to the next.

Can you guys just stop!. 3rd party is a problem because how loud the game is.. I could shoot my gun on kings canyon and a squad on Olympus can hear it and rushes in.. the games are over fast because how loud the guns, revives, self revives, foot steps, ziplines, portals, lobas ring thing, looting, gun swaps, caustic dropping gas bottles and jumping off small af ledges. On KC just hear for the dragons and yup.. That's a squad there.. worlds edge someone is gonna fall in the lava or listen to the wells going up, yup squad there.. on Olympus you've got both the phase runner and the titan.
The sound is to high, it attracts other teams and the game is over before it got started. THATS the real issue! Not swapping shields or any of that b.s... there would be no need for that if it didn't sound like you're firing off lightning bolt each bullet you take. Gez
- 5 years ago@Lygerk_p You learn to have better awareness both before, during, and after gunfights. Sometimes killing and running is better than sticking around to loot boxes. Or, learn to drop, pay attention to the other 19 squads drop locations, the path of the drop ship, and how to properly rotate and predict where squads are or will be. If you land hot on another squad, you should also know if there are squads in areas or towns directly next to you, as you can assume they will drop and immediately come to you knowing two squads dropped on each other. (That's what I do every game, I'm that 3rd squad on the drop).
Also, pay attention to the squads left, what ring it is, and the probable distance of the squads that are left. I.E., if you have 10 squads left in the 3rd or 4th circle, you can assume they are in hearing distance if you start shooting or fighting- 5 years ago@CocoaHyena You don't have to tell me that. The friends I play with, when the servers allow me, call me irl bloodhound because I'm always right when it comes to in-game awareness. However that does nothing when playing with randoms and nobody listens. I often call where the next rings is and am right 9/10.

What if you swap with a broken shield?
I used to think shield swapping used to work until I kept picking up broken shields...
apex needs a far better idea. 2 years and nothing
