Third party device ban creates barriers for the disabled gaming community.
I understand that there are thousands upon thousands of console users who have been using devices like the Cronus to cheat and that needs to be resolved. However, not all third party devices are used to cheat. Individuals with physical disabilities often use various devices to combine adaptive remotes to be able to play. For example, I'm a quadriplegic who has zero finger dexterity. To overcome this, I use the Xbox adaptive remote (operating a joystick in lieu of the left thumbstick and toggle buttons with my hands) and a mouth controlled device called a quadstick (which serves as the right thumbstick and allows me to operate 16 buttons by sipping and puffing through the device). This combination allowed me to not only play Apex Legends, I was able to compete in ranked and eventually reached Diamond and Masters ranks. Now that ALL devices are banned, I can't even log into the game. This really sucks because there aren't very many things I can do anymore post-paralysis and now this has been taken away from me too.
