Top 10 pred are pad
While I am writing this 7 out of 10 of the top 10 pred on pc are from pad. This is the exact picture of how the aim assist is strong. The smaller share has the bigger share of top position, this is j...
Here is my personal experience.
1) I was able to get my aim on target fast, but staying on target was quite difficult. Recoil, muzzle flash, opponent crouching and/ or moving suddenly.
Most of those things I don't have to worry about when using my controller at all. Basically I had to mentally be focused while using a mouse & keyboard as every step of the way matters, there is no downtime. On the controller I could be mentally distracted most of the match, but still be fine ingame.
2) Close range was odd on the mouse & keyboard as the tracking changed so suddenly. On a controller it's super easy to follow, but mouse & keyboard is another thing.
3) Another issue is the keyboard, I dislike it. It's super hard for me coming from years of controller to the input device to be honest. Using 4 keys over an analog stick is tough, I missed it every step of the way.
@Popa2caps My fault I wasn't clear. I'm looking for videos of average to top tier PC players in close range scenarios. Earlier I was watching tttcheekyttt_SBI since he seemed to be a top PC Pred that uses controller while he fought in ranked. Mid to long range he was getting melted in a fraction of a second against targets he could barely see. More so his squad than him but he was clearly at a disadvantage at range.
When his opponents push up close they turned from gods to bronze-gold bots. In a 1v1 (technically 1v2) one Pathfinder just walked in a straight line before getting dropped by tttcheekyttt_SBI. I'll watch more players later but I can't get a good read on close range combat for PC.
Your experience is just too different from mine and any other console player who comments but I'm assuming you aren't lying. Difference in lobby quality when you shift to controller maybe? Or simply a difference in skill level between you and other posters? At this point I'm decidedly below average in skill but even when I used to carry teams I couldn't play distracted against even decent opponents. They'd have to be pretty dumb for me to rip through them with little focus.
TLDR:
I can see #3 and #2 (somewhat) but difference experience with #1.
