Toxic Player Base
I've only been playing Apex for a few weeks, but I uninstalled it last night. The last 2 days, basically since the word spread about the hitbox discrepancies and other related bugs, I've been insulte...
Fact: Gibraltar looks like a beast warrior, but actually it is the very best Legend for a suicide squad :D The Dome is actually counterproductive, a self trap where your teammates will get trapped in, cannot see * and enemy squads will spot the dome from a kilometer. In addition to this, whenever he aims at anything or when he scans/watches an area (scoped) his shield is also clearly visible from a kilometer so enemy will definitely come to erase your squad. Moreover he is 30-40% larger target than smaller legends, so will die fast and easily. Your squad will have to keep revive it and endanger themself and the mission.
Gibraltar was born to be a loser, so its squad. It is a mistake to use it.
They actually left because your other teammate picked wraith when they wanted it.
i usually leave the team durring fight , because its damn team based game, not TDM . so no team work no wasting time on idiots players. there are many idiots in high level people who thinks they are damn good and they dont need team and they Rush soo fast to other places or enemies that they dont care about team if they get knocked down.
So whenever start of the game, i usually send a message on team chat that. stay together and no rush . but if they rush n got knocked down . i dont revive and simply see them from far and some salty message. and just leave. i know its bad. but its me.

Such toxic players as you shall play PUBG SOLO MODE not Apex where you do not find your place 😉
I fight and die for my squad, whatever the case is. Even if it is a kamikaze situation due to one of our mistake. Even if I know I will die in a minute I still rush in and revive 1-2 mates or take their banner, so we die with honor 😉
Check this out where Dizzy schools such a player: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJBqx6WdDb8
But I also try to avoid unnecessary fights and keep a distance from too aggressive squad mates or who moves too much (exposes us) instead of tactical camping/hiding.
Regarding toxic players in Apex, its just the same as in every other FPS games. Tension, frustration, agression mixed with "no life" PC gamers always comes with toxic players. I did not see more in Apex than in the BF series. Maybe less Apex players are taking the games seriously as it is free, they did not pay for it....
But yeah, unlike in BF2-4 series there are no dedicated community servers with admins and rules and constant community member players who know each other so the self control in Apex (and in BF5) is pretty much zero compared to BF2-4 games where the community was and still is strong, it does have strong filtering and control on its community and the random players too (kick, ban, vote etc) where your NAME MEANS something on the server, it is your face which you do not waste....
EA has killed the COMMUNITY and most of the fun element in BF5 and Apex, that is the issue! You play with your mates or you are screwed... ON BF4 servers you know each other each round and know what to expect from whom, know their skills etc... Bf2-4 are competitive community based games while BF5 and Apex are arcade ad hoc rounds if you do not play it with your friends, but still the enemy is random mess mainly noobs without leaders.

BF no longer has dedicated servers. This is a thing of the past because they are targeted for ddos and people are stalked nowadays by malicious hackers. Badmins have taken over so companies had to pull the plug following the lead by console games. BF3 use to give players names and even the ip address of the server. That slowly started to change.
Also in BF most people are not trolling on the mic. ACtually you are lucky to get anyone to talk on the mic and if they do they are usually mature, And age has nothing to do with it, in apex even adults act the fool on the mic.
And I guess BF5 is for casuals in that sense then. I prefer to play bf5 to apex, because even though teams are usually stacked in bf5, its 32 players on a team so a couple noobs doesn't ruin the whole team, and it doesn't affect my k/d as much. Again I don't have to deal with people flaming or saying obscene and derogatory things on the mic in bfv. It never happens.
The problem with bfv is no team balance. And that is the community's fault not EA. Because people tried to implement one in BC2. But admins were getting harassed over it so they scrapped it while in beta. Its just this selfish generation and the times we live in that don't really want fair play. Its the reason titanfall 2 is not popular but apex is.

Don't agree with this at all.
Almost all of the Rando's on BFV that are on coms are chill people.
BF generally has always had a more mature playerbase because the game itself does not encourage toxic play styles and behavior.
Gibraltar's dome shield is good for certain situations and a good Gibraltar player knows what those are. reviving a teammate while under long distance fire is a great time to use it. Also works well if a team is pushing up on you drop your ult right on top of your squad, put up a dome and heal up while the enemy can't approach. Any enemy foolish enough to push through your ult to get to your dome will be put down with a single shot because his ult does huge damage.
As for his shield coming up when aiming.....just press H and it goes away. reactivate it when you are actively engaged in a fight.
he has hitbox issues yes but that is his body hitbox not his head and if you hit headshots you will beat the enemies body shots every time.
Iv'e actually never had a player leave or be "toxic" for me or someone else choosing
a certain legend.
I have seen people be rude and "toxic" for a player that has low kills on that
particular legend.
But just because I have yet to come across someone like that
doesn't mean there not there.
My advice to you is too just keep playing man,
if you get lucky and find two players that are awesome
add them through Origin and try to just squad with them
most of the time.
