@Complexar_c Wouldn't that just let people create more smurph accounts, level up enough for the easy few packs, and trade any legendary, epic, and even lucky heirloom items for common items on their main accounts?

I mean, people already have smurph accounts, we don't need any more being made.

It's pretty hard to introduce an economy to a game that wasn't designed around the idea.

TF2 and CS:GO have thriving markets, though this is because their markets were pretty much part of its core design.

These don't introduce free packs/cases into their games, so these items actually do get some value as money has to be spent to have a chance to earn these items.

In Apex you can get free lootboxes/ticks, just like Overwatch used to have.

This means that players can get these items for free, which technically makes their value less, therefore this system might only be good for some trades between friends instead of starting an economy.

From a security perspective it could also prove to be an issue, though that's not really something to worry about as of now.

If this were to be introduced then some changes have to be made, either for good or for bad.
