Interesting read.

I resonate with many of the words in the entire post. I would suggest everyone read it when they have 5m to spare. My thoughts are below but the link contains the actual post and many others opinions.

UPDATE 2ND SPLIT: i decided to keep playing since they added the solo que only for diamond and higher and I will admit that it has been easier to climb compared to last split HOWEVER preds and masters still only play with each other not only by design it seems but also they are using an exploit i saw on tiktok to make sure they remain 3 stacking. I am currently hard stuck d2 and after i die i spectate these guys and it'sthe current number 1 pred or top 500 preds and they are all 3 stacking and they are all using 3x havocs and devotions sniping people across the map. I report every single of them but i could only hope they get perma banned and force to buy or create another accountand start from the bottom again. 

 

 

Im diamond 1 right now and needed 60rp to hit masters. The first squad we encountered last night was a hyper aggressive octane with aimbot n his friends. They won the last match we played together as we got top 2 or 3 and then matchmaking put his team not only in our next game but spawned next to us. We died instantly. Could barely react to the aim bot. That's just the state of the game now. Run and hide simulator from the cheaters, hope for top 5 and some kills along the way and say a prayer. Cant ban em all because Respawn and E.A would lose so much revenue. They would just create more accounts anyways and cheat again. Gaming addiction to a whole other level for the shiny red badge. Just increase the pred cap and only let masters and preds play each other. All the cheaters would eventually funnel into their own community where they battle and cheat to see who keeps pred for the season. Don't allow three stacking in some sort of degree. The cheating preds really lean on being able to three stack against other cheating preds. I was asked by two preds before I joined them to not bother joining unless I also have a titan or something. Best battle royale conquered by cheaters. Guess it's time to take another few months off rank. Not drop a dime on this game and barely touch it over the next few months. Any legot player should do the same. We are cannon fodder and RP for these pathetic kids. The game doesnt belong to us anymore. If we fight fire with fire we risk losing our main accounts we dumped so much money and time into. Great game but integrity is shattered.

    Good choice of quitting, doing exactly the same - voting with my time and activity. Unfortunately had done so 5? times now over last 3 seasons alone vs basically playing this game non stop for previous 20 seasons.

    I think EA / Respawn is well aware of the gap between players that can hardly reach Diamond and Pro worthy.

    What I see time and time again is that legit Masters are usually decent player that heavily relay on AA and controller input basically they win more 1v1s vs "diamond" rank players than similarly ranked mnk that wiffs same as me more than I would like to when it matters / fall that one bullet short more often than not. Other smaller part is people who have constant 3stacks that commit to grind, then Masters is easily attainable for Diamond rank players.

    And then there is a huge gap between ones that are "hardstuck" Diamonds and ones that go beyond minimum Master level and keep playing for multiple thousand RP ranks above it = basically mostly cheaters or people being boosted.

    Also now it is clear that many pay money, good money for boosts, accounts ... I don't know why but that's the sad reality / insecurity complex? ... so there is business part of that Masters+ level.

    If Respawn would actively clean those ranks up I am sure there would be even worse situation with Preds than there is in Valorant with Radiant ranks (that constantly don't even reach the full cap = some places remain vacant). Look at situation with Console Preds that gone viral... 80%+ cheat. Quite sure PC is at least at 40%, probably more. That would be a bad marketing and business where casuals would see just normal Joes reaching Masters+, people like extremes, noone will watch Joe drop 5 KP "ALGS style" top5 games one after another. Like back in good old days when Keon, Wattson and their 3rd will just Valk ult with Gibby and Caustic into end zone in ranked and just hold it, kill some incoming teams pushed in by the zone and end with like 10 KP as a team at most -> now people drop the same on individual level and it is viewed as "not even good".

    For whatever reason Apex attract wrong type of players and thus has become "everything wrong with FPS" staple - performance stability, bugs, new releases (game unplayable for X time), cheating, (non)competitive scene. Look at CS 27? years and going still up vs Apex that is borderline dead for years.
